I did not see any recent posts on this. If there are, I apologize. I have been googling top lighters for some time but most places are favored towards those they sell or are secretly affiliated with (sites that favor famous smoke lighters, etc).

I, myself, have been using a colibri cutter/lighter combo that was met with higher expectations and I want to throw it out the window. Personally, I’m wanting something that I can actually ‘toast’ my cigars with that doesn’t require a refill every two-three cigars.

There are better options out there but I trust you guys much more than my google search.

Original Blazer PB207. Works great. Bought two, one in use, the other on standby. Never had a problem with this one, it's a keeper.

Might find them a little cheaper if you look around, but you can get them from Amazon:

Use decent multiple filtered butane....NOT Ronson junk. Should have no problems.

Mine has been really disappointing, blows out with even a slight wind. Love my Corona Old Boy though.

I wished I could say the same because I really liked this lighter. I purchased one of these and it got messed up about 7 months after. I tried cleaning it, etc and nothing works. Always used Vector butane.

Purchased this cheap one about 4 months ago and it's still going strong. I use it mainly outdoors and when I'm at home. At this price, I can purchase about 6 of these for the same price as 1 Blazer and if they last me at least about 6 months each, then I'll get 3 years worth of use.

My favorite lighter for indoors is my Dupont ligne 2.

Another vote for the Blazer PB207. I've had mine for years (maybe a decade?) and it's only needed servicing once. All other lighters I've had have broken very quickly, sometimes after only 1 refill.

I used to love my original Blazer; until it stopped working. This was the first torch I bought and used it for years. Then I got one of the new ones and it was no where near as good. Since then, I have tried Xikar and Lotus lighters; which were all good. Then I discovered two torch lighters that are just great, the Xikar Cirro and Vertigo Cyclone II. These two are great and fit my most important criteria in a lighter; easy adjustment! I try to avoid buying any lighter that does not have an easy adjustment, which both have an adjustment wheel; the Cyclone's whole bottom is the adjustment wheel. I use Vertigos for a travel lighter, huge fuel tank and are inexpensive, should I lose it.

Then I also like using a soft flame lighter when I am in doors, a CI Ping Lighter, Xikar FlintFire and Xikar FlintFire II.

Really appreciate all the input. It has given me quite a few options, especially ones that are actually worth a damn.

Does anyone use soft flame? I see that a few lighters are combos and just curious if it’s any good compared to torch.

I use a soft flame a lot when smoking in doors. I have a Colibri, I think it is a Colibri, that is a combo torch and soft flame. I would highly recommend against a combo unit; they are kind of cool but not as effective as separate lighters. My opinion though.

I've been using a Bernz-O-Matic torch with a propane tank for years, never failed.
had to google that, because my mind went to this
