Have any of you had any luck growing fig trees from a shoot from an existing tree? I'm looking to do that but don't want to waste my time if it's harder then everyone says it is.

Are you going to graft it onto something else or does the shoot root? No idea on difficulty for either, sorry. Interesting question.

From what I heard it the shoot will develop roots.

Where did all my money go?
Put root hormone on the shoot first. Give it a try and let me know. I’d love to make some clones of my two trees. Always have wanted more to make preserves, but right now we gobble them up.
