Today's Smoke 2023

Nica Puro Diamond Rough-Cut
Alec & Bradley

InCollage_20230623_190551130.jpg

Lovely stick, has a diamond boxpress shape. Which reminds me of AJ fernandez san lotano the bull. Getting a very nice choco from this Nicaragua puro. Burning really fast, good draw, lightly packed.

Ps.
Made a purchase I'm sharing tomorrow in the other thread, Can't wait 😁

Nica Puro Diamond Rough-Cut
Alec & Bradley

So, Alan Rubin started Alec Bradley cigars and named it after his two boys, Alec and Bradley. Cut to about 5 years ago, the boys are all grown and started their own venture, Alec & Bradley.. main difference being the added ampersand. The Nica Puro has been around since before the boys started.. and so it's just "Alec Bradley".

And it's all sort of moot since both brands were just sold to Scandinavian Tobacco Group (STG) a few months ago. The original Alec Bradley will continue to be sold as such (they bought the name), but I believe the boy's venture was folded in.. as in, I believe there will just be the original name moving forward.

Which is fine by me, I found the boy's venture confusingly named.. not many people are looking for the ampersand.. but I get wanting to cash in on the name. What I don't like is selling your company named after your sons.. and now letting some giant company own your son's names!

Meh.. I digress.. $75M is a lot of comfort!

With $75 mil in my pocket, I could easily change me name & be fine...lol

OG Room 101 Johnny Tobacconaut

Scored four of these from a friend in NJ while I was on a huge Room 101 kick last year. Gave three away and saved one to smoke.
Released in 2016, rolled at Davidoff’s Honduran Factory Agroindustria LAEPE S.A
Small Perfecto named “Fileroid.”
Seven years hasn’t toned down the flavor or the spice. Big body and mouth feel. It’s a slow smoke for a little cigar. Much bolder than its cousin, Chief Cool Arrow.
