What's on your plate today?

My dad called me earlier in the week asking me if I was working at all, or if I was gonna be home most nights. I told Dad that I had worked my shifts and that I would be home. Well today, a large box shows up that starts making noises as it sits on the counter. I had my suspicions, but there was nothing to indicate perishable on the side. I opened it up found several 4 pound lobsters. My wife is out of town. My kids won’t eat lobster what am I gonna do? It was sad day in our house when the children realized Lobster wasn’t that bad meal!

Enjoy it while they prefer hot dogs. Sooner or later they grow up and show up wanting good meals. With spouses. I should buy Costco stock for all the steak I buy there.

yesterday I failed in my lobster roll game and today I made lobster Etouffee courtesy of @PaulTra recommendation on last nights VHerf. It was really good.

I thought the only way anyone is allowed to eat lobster is by slathering butter on it and then drowning it in butter?

Kitchen Knives
Apologies up front. I've searched my direct messages and tried the main searches with no luck.
I want to get some decent kitchen knives. I asked the same question a couple years back and one of you gave me some great ideas, but I can't find those responses. Maybe it involved a set with a built in sharpening block. I'm hoping to buy some larger cuts of meat to save a bit (for cigars of course) Thanks for your help....again

Hey gang, I'm looking to start buying whole ribeyes so I'm interested in getting a good knife (or set) and a good cutting board. Looking for recommendations for both. Good quality without breaking the bank. Thanks
