Yep! I use a small box tucked into the large envelope to save a buck. It went from 8.75 to 9.70 now. Rates up across the board. I know everyone is going to understand it's to continue the GREAT SERVICE PROVIDED !

@JCinPA Seeing as though it's not uncommon for a package to bounce back and forth from one sorting facility back to the other, several times, and then show no movement, and then it stops and is ultimately "lost", your picture is pretty accurate.

As Craig @lucasbuck pointed out, Pirateship is the way to go. To show a comparison I created a sample label for a package to Tom @BlindedByScience using 9 ounces and the dimensions of a small flat rate box from USPS. A coast to coast example.

$6.02 through USPS and $8.66 through UPS. I use UPS through Pirtaeship exclusively now.

@Rod figured it out! Sending it through all the unnecessary regional centers adds to the cost for your “quality” delivery, doncha know? St Louis, totally unecessary stop adds to both the quality of your delivery experience and the cost. As an economist I totally understand this! The rest of you economically uneducated rubes simply don’t understand the value added of this wonderful service.

You realize that there are 640,000 USPS employees? Do you know what a huge undertaking it would be to instill complete incompetence into 640,000 people?
