CAO Amazon Basin. Bought a box back in early January, decided to try after 8 months of down time, the one i smoked when i bought the box was good, but young. 8 months makes a big difference. Beautiful wrapper, dark and oily, though a bit lumpy. Pre-light aroma is exquisite, Opus X like chocolate. Cold draw is meh. Tight draw to start, had to really hit it hard to get smoke, which got it hot, it tasted like ass. About 3/4” in it opened up, and this cigar really blossomed. I’m not good at identifying flavors, but i got molasses sweetness, fruit, chocolate, freshly shaved vjj, ok, i might have made the last one up. Really a flavor bomb, complex, nuanced, flavors that i can’t describe flitting in and out. Burn was a PITA, not shocked given its lumpiness. Overall, holy shite, this is a very good, interesting stick, definitely buying some more boxes when i can find, absolutely top 3 this year, top 10 ever, it’s that good,

Morning smoke while loading up two old wooden garage doors and hauling them to the dump. Kingmaker's No. 1 Personna. 6.5x54 CT shade. Not my favorite profile but certainly well made, very mild and smooth.
