Help me re-stock my empty humidor?

Hello. - I hit a rough patch in life and smoked all my cigars away. Now I'm in a better position and want to re-stock. The problem is, all my old go-to's have gotten rather expensive / popular, which is fine..... it's all cycles anyway. I'm more of the daily cigar / yard gars kind of guy, meaning I'll stock 80% of my stash with cigars I wouldn't be terribly upset if I had to throw away if I had to. Then the other 20% is my "good" cigars. Padron's, etc....

My "old" yard gars included: Diesel corona's - Man O'wars - I'm going to stop right there and just say darn near *ANYTHING* medium to full bodied and Nicaraguan. The heavier the better. Double maduro? Excellent. Love me some maduro's. Prefer them actually. The darker and oilier the better.

So, what is it I'm asking for? I've been out of the loop for a while and I want the "next" relatively undiscovered smokes that are still selling relatively cheap for the good smoke they provide. I'm not at all above buying unbranded / no band bundles or 2nds or anything like that. I just need to know what they are being called now and where to look. It's actually what I prefer anyway. - I love my Padron anniversary's just as much as the next guy but I can't afford those every day. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks.

Cigar page is a great place to stock up on some yard gars at a great price. Check this link-

Also another good section on CP to look at is this page. 5'ers for 17 bucks if you buy 4 or more. Rojas Statement, unfinished business, Barbacoa, and al pastor. Thank me later.

Cigar Luxury out of Miami, Florida is a hidden gem for local hand-rolled house blend cigars. The Ligero and Maduro blends are my favorites…

Super Premium Maduro Ligero Toro
$265/Round of 50 = $5.30 per stick
$149/Bundle of 25 = $6 per stick

Super Premium Ligero

.
There is something incredibly charming about cigars that come wrapped in newspaper. Thanks for that tip, I'm going to have to pick up a bundle soon.

Well sign up for emails from this place.

Cigar Page is the big dealer as far as prices go but others arent far behind.

Check out the Oliva seconds at CP for a value smoke. Also JSK Red Knight. CP is always running some kind of deal.

Watch what people are buying and smoking here and keep an eye on the deals thread. I just looked at my spread sheet tracking purchases and my ave price per stick over the last year is $4.60 and I dont think many that I buy are yard cigars.

....and an intro post in the appropriate forum is always a solid first step...
My apologies. - I did look for an "Introduce yourself" type sub-forum but I didn't see one. I may be going blind, though. I'll start here:

Hello, my name is Mike and I have a cigar problem. 🤣 It started in the late 90's with a coolerdor' and it really hasn't gotten any better since then. The most cigars I've ever had at one time is probably around 300, and I'm still keeping my 250+ humidor (chest style) humidified with florist foam, distilled water, and propylene glycol. - It's worked flawlessly for me for nearly 30 years so ....

I have the most amazing woman that has ever lived as my girlfriend and she actually teaches AI at a college. She turned down a job working for the NSA fresh out of college. She is smarter than I will ever dream of being. If I ever piss her off, I'm in serious trouble. I have 2 sons. One passed away from cancer at age 20. The other is 26 now. (It's ok. I can talk about it now. I will have my answers in due time, for now, it's the way it was meant to be) - I live for college football season, although the powers that be are doing their level best to destroy the game. I like steak, BBQ done right, seafood, (hell, all food, I'm a foodie) , I love to cook and I really like collecting cigars. I also like to tinker with a small-ish homemade garden in the spring and summer.

May as well be honest: My life was obliterated in 2020-2021 with Covid, losing my son, and going through a divorce all at the same time. (The divorce was not with the baby's momma - it was a completely unrelated crisis but God decided I got to juggle both simultaneously - yes, it nearly broke me. My wife was there one moment and the next she was being lead away in handcuffs and I never saw her or spoke to her again. I never got the satisfaction of any kind of closure.) (Side note: If you're going to play "woman games" with me, it should be noted you're probably going to lose. Homie don't play that.) Let's just say she decided to play games, and it blew up in her face immediately, rapidly, and overwhelmingly.... and I was the civilian casualty.....and I'm good with it. 😆😂 She was a concealed carry firearms instructor and looking back on it, I was probably in grave danger. I looked over my shoulder for a long time.

And then: I got Covid. And I had the "brain fog" coming out of it. I didn't remember anything that happened. True story. I got to live it all .....all over again. TWICE!! Women. 🤷‍♂️🤷‍♂️

It's taken 5 long, long years but I've come a long way and I'm putting my life back together. I got the girl, getting the cigars, and the only thing left on the list is a good dog. Doberman Pinscher is what I want. There is no substitute. Although a Dobie and a wiener dog side by side would be hilarious. We'll see.

Wow. And Welcome from central Virginia.

Great intro, really appreciated. Life can be a cruel bitch, sometimes. Good on you for the family love and rising above.

Cut and paste that into a thread in this forum:
