I will be staying near the convention center and plan to hit up Silver Leaf while Im there. If anyone in DFW wants to stop by and say hey, say hey.

I will be tied up during the day time and it would be an early evening or happy hour time slot if Mon or Tue. Im open Sunday once I get in and get settled. I arrive Sunday lunch time and I fly out Thu afternoon and have an event Wed evening. No rental car so Im stuck with that locale.

Well damn I wish I would’ve seen this sooner. Had a dinner tonight but Monday night was open. Driving to Denton tomorrow eve to buy a bike. Enjoy your time here - do you ever get to Dallas?

Getting ready to pack my bag. Any food recommendations, especially near the convention center, would be appropriated from the DFW folks here. I should be around the stock yards Wed evening FWIW.

Rodeo Goat is pretty close to the convention center. Damn good burger if you're in the mood. Looks like there's a Coco Shrimp over there too. Simple fare, basically just shrimp in sauce served over rice, but it's painfully addictive.

Eh that's fine. Dropped $30+ at silver leaf w over humidified drew estate product and bushmills on the rocks Sunday.

Guess I'm spoiled when I go to Ashton in philly and can bring my own sticks that live a sheltered life. Id rather patronize a place via booze then be forced to smoke something that's not in my wheelhouse.

I will ck that out. Here at Jake's and their food is pretty good and comes out stupid fast.

Ate lunch at Mi Cocina yesterday and their brisket tacos were out of bounds.

Rodeo Goat has a cool gimmick where they put up two new, and sometimes weird, burgers on the menu every week or month (I forget which) and have a competition to see which one sells the most for that time period. The winner stays on the menu for the next time period and a new burger is introduced. Kinda cool, sometimes they get pretty outlandish.

I also edited my original comment to include Coco Shrimp. My girlfriend just texted to tell me that's what she was having for lunch, and I happened to notice that there's a location right next to the convention center.
