Smoked this J London Gold Series Robusto this morning and was blown away. Couple years old; first release after the recovery from the Ventura Factory fire.
I thought about it all day and swung by the shop on the way home to grab some more!

H.Upmann #2. '18 box code. Comparison with the Monte #2 are inevitable. So far, it's murdering it with smoothness and complexity of flavor. Surprised me as to how good it is. So far, I have to give the nod to the Upmann...simply wonderful cigar. Research continues....

Macanudo Inspirado White Robusto
The hotter weather has me seeking something a little milder. Dug this out of a tupperdore where I have some sticks I didn’t like the first time. This has 5 months of rest now and it’s completely different; or my palette, mood and the weather are. Smooth, nutty and creamy with sweet cedar and mild white pepper. Nice retro. Vanilla and citrus sweetness coat the lips. A peaceful 45 minutes finishes with baking spices, oranges and leather. Nice mellow stick.

I just got a bundle of those Crux Bull & Bear today as well! A little time to settle in after travel will help but I'm liking it. It has a bit of a red pepper bite to it.
