I started off smoking Macanudos out of the tin. :whistling: I bought them off the drugstore shelf and don't remember having any moisture or burn issues with a cigar that small. But that was about 6 years ago. I would suggest leaving them humidor for now, on the condition, you don't have anything in there you're storing long term or couldn't easily replace. However, don't open the tin and then store in the OtterBox. I would guess your soon to be wife won't be too disappointed if the cigars aren't coming out of a 65RH container. If she is, it's time to get her a travel box too.
My humi will be a temp storage solution until I either get her one or make her one. I don't think making a tuppedor will do though. When she looks at my nice, new, shiny, double decker glass top humidor with the
fancy tassle hanging from a brass key and then looks at a tuppedor...the evil eye will be given. LOL
