Guy made a bet with his girlfriend that he could make a website that would reach 2 million hits. If he wins she'll do a menage-a-tois with another girl with him. He's got a picture of his girlfriend on the site.

I click the site then two seconds later, I hit refresh and there are suddenly over 5000 additional hits in the last two seconds.

She oughta tell him she'll agree to his "menage a trois" so long as the third person is a guy.

It does seem like the counter is going up rather fast. I hit refresh several times after you noted this and saw it jump by a few hundred everytime.
 
I watched it go up 5K in just a few minutes. Too bad the contract doesn't work, I'd like to see what she wrote.

I think the "contract" link is just a refresh so he can get 2 hits for every person that visits. He's smooth.
 
At the rate the counter is climbing, he'll hit 2 mill sometime in the next 24 hours. :laugh:
 
The counter had gone up 300,000 since I first looked at it 3 hour ago. ???

Yup.

I think that when he goes to try to hold her to it, all she needs to do is get the logs from the ISP and run Webtrends against it for unique hits, and it will probably be miniscule. Hell, you could probably write a little bot program to sit and keep refreshing the site to make your counter go up....

The question I had was the time frame. Is it 2M hits ever? or in one day? or one Month? One hour?

But you got to give the guy credit for trying. I think I need to come up with some sort of agreement like that and then try to close off any of the loopholes. :cool:
 
Its a fake, there have been a few different versions of that website. The counter probably isn't real and just rotates from 0 to 2,000,000 or something.
