BBQ Herf **edited for details.***

I have a ton of driving to do that week. First heading to Mich. for a fishing trip. Then to WV for the herf. Then back home after the herf. Thats 30 hours of driving. :( But i'll be there.
 
Well change of plans!

Thanks to gtphale. What was oging to be a guys trip has turned into lets drag the ladies cross country in a truck for 10 hours so they can be bored in another state trip!! :laugh:

so miller is liz is still in washington you should tell her to come into town that weekend..
 
I will ask her if she wants to come. Are we all still going to fit in the Durango? ???
 
Hale is going fisning in Michigan so he is leaving from michigan to WV.

I am going to rent a nice SUV. SO we will split turns driving out there gas etc etc.

Well if it pertains to plans for the BBQ herf I see no problem with it being posted here in the BBQ thread herf. Driving cross country may pertain to others on this board. Maybe some BOTL will need a lift to the herf..maybe others will want to convoy into WV from their state that we are driving thru.

Maybe others who were not bringing their significant others see that other BOTL's are now bringing theirs, And they decide they are bringing theirs as well.


Your post has absolutely nothing to do with the BBQ herf. Just baiting and trolling as always!
 
Here is an idea - if you are not planning on attending the HERF, then don't click on the thread - We really don't need any post from someone not attending -

By the way hatguy - the wife picked some strawberries over the weekend. Hope you like strawberry jam.

This thread is not for the community at large. It is for the purpose of planning the BBQ Herf and to benefit those who will be atttending. There is nothing wrong with BOTLs coordinating their travel plans and schedules as they relate to the herf in this thread.

Btw, are you coming to the herf, gg? We'd love to see you there.

My bad, Dennis. I guess if "you're coming" you can carry on a "tin-can and string" conversation in the threads... Otherwise it's "STFU" :whistling:

Gotta be honest - I would consider it, but not after all the "exhuberence" shown. I'd be afraid I'd be mugged the minute I'd arrive. :D

I have a lot of respect for you. I would love for you to come. That is what herfing is about. Meeting the person on the other end of the key board and sharing smokes. I think that a lot of folks would love to see you there. I just think that if you are not coming then don't tell us what we should do. No one likes a bully. Just my .02

Steve - you're confusing me here... This thread is NOT for the community at large? It's for those attending the herf.

I'm thinking this thread is for the benefit of the ENTIRE community (who may wish to attend the event), and is also for those attending the herf. I thought that's why it's in a public forum. I mean - that's what I thought - silly me - how could I possibly be that foolish... my bad.... :blush:

As far as coordinating travel plans - posting nearby hotels, directions of events, a schedule of activities, local sites to see, etc., etc., etc. is timely and useful information to the community and is very appropriate for the thread.

Talking about how each person is going to drive to the event, who's going with them, where each is going to sit in the car, how many times they're going to take potty breaks, what kinds of camera's they're bringing, etc., etc., etc. is quite frankly... well... nauseating. It seems to me those kinds of "tin can and string" conversations are better left to Ma Bell...

Oh - and I'm sure we'll meet up face to face one day. I look forward to it. And would love to hand you a cigar you'd like to smoke (along with a package of tea-bags) and have you find I'm not the awful "party-pooping" ogre many apparently think I am... ;)

None of this bitchin' and moanin' in my herf thread, so everybody shut up, get a ticket to NYC for July 22nd weekend and start thinking about what your favorite Czech beer is! Oh yeah, and in NYC we get sponsored!
