Could anyone reccomend a good/personal favorite smoke?
I like a cigar with stronger taste and like to enjoy them for a while, so i generaly smoke larger cigars. I am fairly new to cigars and i am still exploring. anyone care to point me in the right direction? thanks for your time.

Cusano 18 Double Wrap Maduro. Great cigar long and full of flavor, relatively cheap too. Also check out the Newbie Sampler Trade. Express your wishes to the FOG and I'm sure they can help out as well.

Just my $00.02

I like the Sancho Panza Extra Fuerte - Barcelona. It is box pressed, 48 ring gauge by 6.5" (6.75"?) and can be found at $45 for 20 plus shipping. These come individually wrapped in cellophane. I leave the cello on these in my desktop humidor as it seems to keep the flavor better than if stored nude.

This is a very spicy tasting cigar with some interesting flavor. Other reviewers have stated they think these are harsh, but I have not had that experience with the several boxes I bought as the spice was on my tongue not the back of my throat. When fresh, these definitely have a nicotine kick to them. I also like the SPEF - Cordoba which is more the size of a petit corona (5.25" long by 42 or 44 r.g.?, box pressed)for a shorter mid-winter smoke.

Good luck in your cigar explorations.

First, Welcome to the CPBB Frontman! :D

Second, since you are a Newbie, you might want to check this out:

It's a compilation of basic cigar information that I put together based on what I wanted to know when I got started with cigars. I hope you find something useful.

Third, although it is cool to ask for suggestions and opinions, because taste is subjective to each person, it is difficult for anyone to suggest to anyone else what a personal-favorite smoke might be. Opinions are based on those tastes. What some may think of as a fantastic cigar, you could smoke and think "Blech!"

But you however, are in luck. The best part about cigars is doing the taste-testing to find your own personal-favorite smoke. I've been smoking for the better part of 6 years and have found several that I like, but I STILL haven't found my personal-very favorite smoke. :)

I am enjoying the challenge.

how about the newbie sampler thread? let a FOG make some selections for you!
Definately a good idea. If you don't want to do that I would pick up a sampler from somewhere. Get a good variety and start smoking, it's the only way to find out what your tastes and likes are.
