It was custom made by a guy who works in the Distribution office here at work. Approximate outside dimensions are 15-1/2" wide X 11-1/2 deep X 7" high. It's mainly made of Birdseye Maple, ~ 3/4" thick and it completely lined by 3/8" & 1/2" Spanish Cedar. The dividers in the bottom are moveable. The dark strip across the top is walnut, he told me what the lighter wood on top is but I don't remember. The smell of the cedar when I opened it was heavenly. I have only one minor complaint, that the tray is a little shallow. But it will suffice.

As a note, the maple came from a barn in Northern Ontario that was torn down ~ 30 years ago, and was about 170 yerars old when it was dismantled. The pictures do not give it justice, trust me.

By the way, it cost me $200.

History like that makes it well worth the $200.

What a bargain! It's amazing that that quality of maple was used in the construction of a barn. Stuff like that brings a very healthy premium these days. Must have been fairly common in that area back then...

Beautiful box, I am envious!
