Cigar Log or Notebook

I've been looking for some ideas of how you keep track of your smokes. Is there a recommended Log Book or even computer db template that is the Gold Standard of CP? I tried the search function and didn't come up with much, so I'm looking to find a solution.

I tried using CigarBriefCase for a bit, but it's just too damn much work to mess with.

I think the notebook with pen is the best way, hehe.

I done up a copy in Excel of what is in the book Cigars for Dummies to keep track of smokes. Pretty basic but all I need. I keep them in a small three ring binder.

What would you guys be looking for in a paper/notebook based cigar log?
