Or Table Salt in Warm Water......but gargle it....don't drink it and make sure the back of your throat gets the saltwater.

For a good temporary relief..... Aspergum.... don't chew it too long it starts to taste nasty... and remember that this is a dose of aspirin

Only do this if it is definately a bacterial infection. Sore throats often times can come from a simple viral infection (which antibiotics won't help, other than their placebo effect) that will remedy itself in a few days. In the mean time, ibuprofen can help with the pain, and don't be afraid to take more than the two pills recommended. I take 3 for a "normal" dose. Hope you feel better.

Peppermint candy, Whiskey, and a small jar with lid
1)Fill jar with the mints,
2)Pour the whiskey over the mints.
3)Cover
4)Let sit until the mints dissolve (should be few of hours)
5)Take 2 table spoons as needed. :laugh:

I was on Amoxicillin for an infected throat recently and it was so bad that the drug didn't work and they needed to give me something stronger. I had an absess on my toncil and had to go to the hospital to get the thing checked out. They cut into the damn thing to make sure it wasn't full of puss, luckily it wasn't. I stayed on the stronger drugs and it cleared up in a few days.
The whole point of this story? That myself and Rod were on the same drug for a brief period of time despite being on opposite ends of the continent.
