for those of you unfamiliar with the Barrett M107 .50 cal sniper rifle, here is a pic and one of America's finest using it in the field.

At one time my dad had four. Two semi's and two bolt action. He has since sold three and kept the semi with his own serial # 13KW, We took a road trip down to the Plant in Murfreesboro, what a cool trip. But yea recoil is how I would describe it.

Once again the largest machie gun shoot is going on in OCT, in Knob Creek,KY.

Great weapon!! They discuss it on either the History or Discovery..or something channel. Having only fired an M-1 and AR-15 ...I can only imaging what this would be like to fire!

I have a goal in life to shoot a fully auto machine gun, preferably an H&K MP5, and a 50 cal sniper rifle. I have fired a RRA AR-15 and I own an M1 carbine from WWII, but they are only semi auto.

My gun club banned the 50cal. With their recoil brakes they're just too damn loud and upset the flatlanders in the neighborhood.

Speaking of awesome weapons, anyone seen the Metal Storm systems? This firing system can be incorporated into anything from a machine gun (canon) to a handgun.

There wa a video floating around of the 50 Cal. snipers in Afghanistan. Nothing like seeing the body of a terrorist completely explode from across a mountain range.

Only the newest versions have 4 Vulcans. Other versions have 4 miniguns, 2 vulcans and 2 Bofors cannons whilst others even have a 105 howitzer, a Bofors and 2 Vulcans. Spooky had the 25mm Gatling gun instead of the Vulcans.
