I had a guy on a motorcycle site I belong to send me a PM asking about cigars, he's read a lot of my posts and saw that I'm into stogies. Never met the man, he's a relative noob there, about a year or so, and I'm as much of a FOG as it gets there, well over 10k posts. Anyway, he asked me about cigars, never smoked them but would like to try. He's been a cigarette smoker for years. So I went to CigarBid and bought him a small 25 count humidor, seasoned it, bought some beads from Viper, and filled the humid with a combination of yard gars, every day smokes, some great premiums and Habanos. So tomorrow a big bomb goes out to a non cigar smoking motorcycle rider (he has a hot wife) and he's excited as all getout. He's PM'd me about 6 times already today with questions, it's fun seeing the excitement he has. I'll let you know what he says after he gets the package and smokes a couple of his first sticks. I typed up a long list for each cigar with tasting notes, what to expect, what company they are, which vitola, price and such. So if he really wants to learn, he has some good tools to get started. Man this has been a fun trip so far!

I love helping others get started with cigars. I have gifted many to newbies to feed their new addiction. :D

As taste is subjective, did you mention that although they are your tasting notes, he may experience something different when he smokes those cigars?

Great play Wade! It is always great to hear stories of new smokers and all the excitement and questions that go with it.

:blush: ??? Ummmm, wellll, just as I was about to....Ummmm, you see. *&^%$#@! Damn, never thought of that!

Tasting notes, yes, I did mention that those are just mine and or what I've read and should be used just as a gauge and his taste may be much different. I explained it with an analogy to alcohol, some like beer, some like wine, and some hard liquor, we all have diff tastes.

Hot wife....maybe that's what got me to do this to begin with. :sign:

That is the only part I read, you mean you actually sent cigars. I thought you were just trying to get in her pants :laugh:

ROFLMAO, so I PM'd him on the motorcycle site and told him about CP, and he said he just signed up. So no more hot wife cracks! Oh, that didn't come out right did it! :sign:
