Season opener of Battlestar Galactica!

i grabbed the first original season from netflix, and it was unwatchable actually. kinda spoiled the good memories of the original series.

This happens often when I revisit those shows or movies from my formative years. I guess over time we tend to romanticize and modify our recollections. When we see these shows again, the video strips away the gentle glow of nostalgia.

My wife and I watched the pilot, and were unimpressed. A bunch of folks I work with kept raving about it, so we NetFlix'd season one....and managed to get hooked. Watched season two and really enjoyed it. Problem with trying to watch season three is that there are so many re-runs, HD / non-HD presentations, etc. it's hard to watch things in order which IMHO is what you need to maintain the continuity of the season. Looks like Sunday night is the "premier" night so I'll get the DVR set up for it.

We have gotten rather spoiled as anymore we really prefer to just wait and get the season on DVD so we can watch it at our leisure, sans commercials, in the right order. NetFlix will spoil you this way..... ;)

So you missed it last night? You might get lost if you watch next Sunday's episode without watching the 'pseudo' premier from last night - It's on again tonight at 11pm EST, and then again this Sunday after the next new episode (they'll repeat that night's episode after the rerun of last night's premier at 12, so you can watch them both back to back without losing continuity if you miss it again tonight)
