So tonight I was listening to the news ( a blurb)) about how there is something in the legislature to get spankings outlawed at home...I swear i don;t know what i would do if this is passed..

I think it is B.S. no one has every died from a spanking and belive me I know, I am living proof. All kids from time to time need a little swift kick in the tail. I oppose this and hope other people do too.

Hitting children, for any damn reason, is just plain wrong. I raised three. They are all successful young adults and my wife and I never laid a hand on them. When a parent becomes so frustrated, that they must resort to violence, it's time evaluate one's parenting skills, not your child's behavior.

Hitting out of anger is wrong. Inflicting pain to detour bad behavior is not. Evil is winning due to lack of parenting.

They're are more effective ways to shape behavior than with pain. Learning them is not easy. But no one ever said parenting was easy.

Sorry I totally disagree..I got spanked...I am alive.... and I am fine...I have seen kids who got the "time out" behavior.. *ugh*...sorry children.
