Where did all my money go?
I was gifted one of these semi box pressed cigars a month ago and, I figured yesterday was a good time to set fire to it.
I had been wanting to get my hands on one of these to try before buying a whole box. The cheap price and mixed reviews I'd seen kind of made me leary of investing in them.
This little sample was a really nice looking cigar with a light shade of wrapper and near flawless construction.
I made a nice clean cut on the cap and, after a positive test draw I smelled tobacco mixed with a hint of chocolate.
Toasted the foot and smelled the smoke that it gave off....... Hope that it taste as good as it smells.
After lighting and smoking for a few minutes I tasted burnt toast and white pepper. It never evolved much past this so, I would not call this sample a very complex smoke. It did however, stay consistent throughout with the two flavors noted above along with a strong tobacco taste in my mouth. The burn was even with a nice tight ash that grew considerably before falling. No touch up or, relights required.
Overall this was not a bad cigar. It would not go down as a standout but, I would give another a try just to see if any differences are noted. I have heard they can be inconsistent sometimes mediocre, sometimes fantastic. I know nothing of the age of this sample or, factory code. Just guessing, it seems that some more downtime would have done it justice.

The Coronas were VERY NICE but they were discontinued and I keep hearing rumors of them coming back.
