How do you do it?

Prior to joining here my coolidors held only full or partial boxes of cigars with very few singles making it into the inventory. As a result of some bombs, some education, and expanding my horizons, I find my coolidors are filling up with singles or selections of certain lines.

How do you guys keep all of your stuff? Do you put all of a certain line in a box? or Do you keep the gifts and bombs separate so you can savor the gift?

Do you inventory your inventory?

Need more coolers!

Start keeping an inventory and tie it into your journal if you keep one or tasting notes.

Use excel, you can then print it out and make tic marks are you take quantity out or put some in. Then you can update the sheet later or something.

As a programmer, I'm starting to think of online humidor stock systems that you can set a "notify" point to send you and email/txt msg to re-order your favorite stock when it reaches a certain point, but lets take it one step at a time.

I don't take many notes. I have a 100ct full of singles and 2 trays in my 500ct full of singles. I also have a few boxes stuff with some random singles.

My stuff is a mess really, and nothing will get better unless I spend some money and get a nice 1200ct humi with a couple drawers.

I'm like Wyatt when it comes to the singles. I just have a pretty decent memory when it comes to from who and, when. The box purchases I make are no problem though.
A FOG on here gave me the idea of putting a generic white band that goes around the foot of the cigars. You could put anything from who from, dates, preferences, etc., etc.

It would also come in handy for marking box codes/dates on ISOM singles as well as protecting the foot of the cigar from splits.

I use the cigar registry software to keep track of how many and what I have. It only takes a couple of minutes to update the list when I have a smoke and it also keeps a personal rating of Cigars I have tried.

My whole stash is pretty much singles in miscellaneous boxes. I buy a lot of fivers and samplers because I don't smoke all that much and I can find pretty good deals that way.

I use the blank bands on every stick that goes in my humidor. I like to record the date that it went into my humi and the place from which the cigar was received in the log book I keep. This alos helps me keep track of who goes on my "hit list."

I use an Excel sheet to keep track of my current cigars and the aforementioned log book for the cigars I have smoked. It may sound a little more complex than it is. It works well and is pretty simple, actually.

I tried some of the programs that are out there and while they were great at first, I found myself not realy keeping them updated. The Excel sheet and hand written log are just easier for me.

I keep track mostly in my head. I do enjoy digging around in my humi ever so often and finding a smoke I forgot about. It seems to make it that much more fun to light up.

On sealed boxes, I use a Sharpie with month and date, then for singles, just keep track in the few brain cells I have left.

No system yet, but I'm planning to get some blank bands and a log book and keep track of things that way, along with reviews in the book. I've got a nice blank "journal" type of book (blank pages) that'll be useful as the log.

Just a suggestion. Get a pack of post-its and cut them into stripps, makes a good cigar band to write on.

I have a 300 count with somewhere around 70 in it. I keep mine seperated into groups, Gurkha's, RPs, LFDs, ISOMs, and everything else. Haven't been bombed so the everything else is a very small portion.

See, I just smoke a cigar, if I really liked it, I go buy it again. Then, all of my cigars either I've never tried, or I really liked, either way I want to smoke them.
