I wanted to start a little pass of some cigars that I have really come to love. I got to talking with my buddy Shawn and we got to scheming. Now it has turned into a combined effort of some of our better ISOMs. He invited some buddies to join from another board and I've invited some friends from here.

Standard rules apply: 1 for 1, ISOM for ISOM, rarity .. you know the drill. And while I am a member of CPI, we are asking that participants add insurance to the box. More than anything, have fun! :thumbs: And drool outside of the box. :whistling:

We decided to have a little contest. Since we both are huge fans of poker, namely Texas Hold 'em, we thought that would be a fun addition. Shawn's wife will seal up two cards in an envelope, facing each other, and anyone who wants to participate in the contest can throw in a cigar into the contest bag. A little way into it we will do the flop and then the turn and river down the road. We will be playing and take our cards last; if there are more than just two left, maybe I'll have stevehawk come down and watch us draw them out of a hat.

I have a question on adding insurance to the pass. I thought CPI was meant to cover a pass in case of damage or loss in transit. If the insurance is added to the pass and then it is lost, the added "insurance" is also lost? I assume you were planning on sending the added insurance to Emo when it was completed.

I have a question on adding insurance to the pass. I thought CPI was meant to cover a pass in case of damage or loss in transit. If the insurance is added to the pass and then it is lost, the added "insurance" is also lost? I assume you were planning on sending the added insurance to Emo when it was completed.

These are a majority of my better sticks and I would hate to loose them. Every player in this pass I trust; it is USPS or UPS that would treat this box with less care than a fellow BOTL. And while I am covered by CPI, you can see that there aren't a ton of ISOMs in there inventory yet. You can insure packages through the carrier (USPS or UPS), which is what I am asking. And that disappears after the package has arrived at the intended destination, so there is no way to "send it to Emo". But don't worry, I already have a plan for him.

However, if anyone in the pass has an issue with adding insurance, please shoot me a PM and I'll work it out with you.

Sorry, Cory I had my brain thinking cigars. I read CPI and was thinking of adding cigars as insurance. I'm a dumbass (Jonas will vouch for that!!) Not through UPS. I need a cup of coffee this morning :thumbs: I would want to protect those cigars with my life also!!

Actually, this board, cigartimes.net, is in the minority for members that are only on this board. But the plan is to keep track of it on both boards. If you post here, then I will quote it and post it on the other board, and vice versa. I'm not going to do every post, just the ones relevant to info on the pass. People will have email and cell phone information to get in touch with the next person in the pass, so even if he isn't on your board, you should be able to ping him and make sure he is ready to receive. I will facilitate as much as possible as well.

I understand that you're the only one that stands to lose anything, but nobody knows you and you haven't traded w/ anyone here.

Become a part of the site, do a few trades, get to know people before jumping in with both feet.

Damn, I would love to get into this, but I don't have Isoms of the value to trade. I only have about 10-12 pcs that were gifted to me, so there's no way I could trade up for something larger or more expensive, and I wouldn't do that to any of the good BOTLs in the pass anyway. I gotta pass this one up, although it pains me to do it. Great lineup on the cigars tho! Good Luck!
