Need Opinions on the Following Cigars:

I heard some good things about these but cannot seem to find them at my local shop. So before I drop some cash on any of them I wanted to know:

Has anyone ever tried any of these cigars:

Flor de A Allones Allones No 7
La Rosa Especial Piquin
Onyx Reserve Robusto

La Rosa: Haven't smoked one I care for but that doesn't mean you won't like them.

Onyx used to be a great cigar at a great price. My personal opinion is they still sell at a great price but the quality of the cigars has suffered tremendously over the last 2 years. They don't age well either. They tend to lose a lot of the oomph after a year.

Agreed. The FDA is a decent smoke.

The Onyx...damn, I haven't smoked one of those in ages. They were once good, but went majorly downhill and have been so for even longer than 2 years...I washed my hands of those sticks ages ago...at least six or seven.

The La Rosa...has been equally as long since I've smoked one, and didn't really care for it all.

I have to disagree about the Onyx. I think they're good smokes and unbeatable at $50 for a box of 'em. I've got some that have been sitting around for about 9 months and they just keep getting better. Maybe as they approach two years, they lose flavor, but we'll see on that.

Try them yourself and let us know.

The only one out of the three that I have smoked is Onyx. Compared to alot of other inexpensive sticks I really think they are good for a one dimentional smoke IMHO. Once I got started smoking cigars I came across a box of ONYX Reserve Mini Belicoso 52x5. Smoked 'em all and never looked back. as for the other two on your list..I can't give you my opinion yet, but for the ONYX, I'd say pick one or two up and let US know whatcha think!

I agree with John here. Onyx's are actually one of my favorite cheap smokes. Great smoke for the price. It really is unbeatable.
