Hi Newbie here. I have pissed off two people here already. But to the rest it is nice meeting you. I live in Central Calif. I am a member in local lounge with locker. They have cool events all of the time. I have a humidor at home and try and get outside to smoke regularly. I am new to the hobby, but have a lot of fun with it. I look forward to meeting all of you nice people! If you like to chat sometime feel free to PM me.

Take care.

I haven't searched yet, but anyone know what this is all about?

Don't know your story, but if you haven't done it, try correcting whatever the hell it is you're referring to, and, also, post your introduction in the proper forum. Not a very good way to start out, from the sound of it and by all appearances...

Introduce Yourself Here

Introduce Yourself Here

This was his inital post: ISO GOF 2007

This was his initial intro post (also in a wrong forum), where he says he's already pissed off ONE person: B/S/T Forum

rehrlich, you've been directed to the correct forum to post an intro twice now (with links) and still haven't made it there. And please -- if you do post an intro in the correct forum -- don't post that you've pissed off 3 people. Most of us have thicker skins than that.

Thanks Steve. Definitely sheds some more light on this fella.

Rehrlich - You have 8 posts so far, 5 of which are completely asinine and overly-dramatic , stating "I've pissed off x number of people so far..." or "i'll stay out of your way," "sorry it's so offensive," etc. Your posts also suggest that you've written off the people who tried to provide you with advice, when you state, "to the rest of you..." Very smart-assed. Further, 2 of those posts also continue to "introduce" yourself in the incorrect forums, when you've been pointed to the proper one previously. Perhaps that's a commentary on your ability to grasp things, or just a comment on your lack of caring how this brotherhood and community strives to operate. In either case, it doesn't say much about you.

As Steve said, don't be such a damn drama queen and try to make more out of something than it actually is. Your posts never outraged, upset or "pissed off" people. And, when provided, take the advice/suggestions of my brothers/sisters here, if you choose to stick around, and thank them for it and move on. If you get corrected on something, by far the easiest (and most respectful, courteous and adult) thing to do is say something like, "woops, my bad, wasn't aware of that, thanks..." and it's over, no mess, no fuss. You don't have to be like the little boy who takes his ball and goes home.

If you can't grasp this, stick around, read more, post less, and see how things work. If you just don't care, then this probably isn't the community for you.

Hmmm....a cut and paste intro (same grammar errors) just with the number of people he has pissed off changing.

Good luck with your next intro. Trust me, you'll know it if you piss anyone off. So far, you've just stepped on a toe or two and broken a few of the rules. Nothing that many others didn't do, who have now become respected members. It's still saveable...if you want it to be.

Person number one, reporting for duty!

I've already sent him a PM stating the fact that I most certainly am NOT pissed off, with sincere hopes that he takes the advice given to him and sticks around for awhile.

I think this is quite common. Newbie comes in with no idea how this forum works, and makes first post trying to buy/sell something. A few folks try to let them know the protocols for new people around here. Newbie doesn't know folks well enough to know that we're not doing so with malice. Hence newbie gets defensive or slightly aggressive. After all, newbie has nothing invested here so it's really no loss, as far as they know. Then, newbie must make the decision to read more, post less, and get to know how things work around here. It's a great board to know, but you've certainly got to roll with the punches and give us a chance. We're not begging for new members, but we certainly don't want to scare away potentially good people.

If he can't figure out where the damn intro forum is after being pointed to it twice I'm sure I will be pissed off at him shortly.

Edit: I see that he did find the intro forum.

I agree I love this place. Reading some of the things people post on here are funny as hell. Everyday I sign on knowing that I will get some kind of stress relief, if its not people making asshats out of themselves then its nice looking ladies with cigars or with nothing on. You FOG’s are great, I love how you try to help the Noobs out but there are just some of us that have no clue. Great Place!! ;)

Kiss ups.
