Hijacked yet again!

Way to take care of him guys! Brick, here's hoping the perp becomes one of your students.

Now that's some funny sh*t right there. Wouldn't that be the ultimate payback though, ROFL.

Thanks a ton for the support fellas. This post wasn't intended to get some replacement sticks sent this way, but it gives me a big, warm, and fuzzy feeling to read all the volunteers to make up for it.

As for the reporting, my wife is mad as hell as well and she's heading up there Monday (simply because my work hours don't facilitate me getting there on time) to give them what have ya. I'm sure I won't figure out where the sticks went, but they'll damn sure know that I won't take it lying down.

I just picked up this thread...

this is complete Bull$h!t. I wish there was someway for me to help make it right, but for now, make sure that you and Household 6 get on first name basis with the local postmaster ( and not in a good way) just make sure you don't take it too far, they are responsible for delivering those bills that need to be paid.

As for all those that have stepped up to the plate, it is B/SOTL like you that confirm the fact that I have joined the right family (that is, if y'all will have me)

Just remember the karma comes back three fold......both ways

Tim

It's a joke and you bought into it hook, line and sinker. There was nothing in the box to begin with and Tas is jerkin your chain as payback for goofing off so much on the internet while you were in the sandbox.

This down right pisses me the F - - k off!! Before I got home I had already decided to send him the same bomb again just because! But as usual this board takes care of each other! Thanks guys I don't forget!

errrrr

I should not have quoted you bro! All is good! :D

Come'on! Tas will tell ya that I did 90% of the work over there. :whistling:

You can't afford to bribe enough him to say that :)

Actually, tas and I had an understanding over there.

If it involved sweating and lifting, tas took care of it.

If it involved briefing power point slides and/or listening to someone else brief power point slides, I took care of it.

I think tas will agree, it worked out for the best this way, lol.

Good luck with getting to the bottom of that. USPS is, for the most part, pretty unorganized when it comes to claims. While we still use them for shipping with my company, we ended up getting a UPS account a few months ago to handle orders as well once the USPS started damaging and losing things. The USPS is a federally owned service and as most of you know, anything the government decides to run 100% will always be jacked up. Look no further than our education system. Heh.

But I digress.....

I hope that they are at least put on notice that there is a thief among them, even though the theft could have happened anywhere along the transit path and not necessarily at your local PO or by your local delivery guy.

Damn Wyatt, just read this thread, keep pressure on the usps and they'll find out who's responsible. I have recieved packages that have been sliced open with a razor, mainly my quarters collection, whoever did it is a pro with a knife. After i complained for the second time it never happened again. The guy that delivered the open package to your house is a good start. Kudos to CP for coming to the aid of a botl. I really like this place!

I would just as well put tooth picks in my eyeballs then to do slides and meetings!

It worked for both of us!

I would talk to, and send a letter of complaint to the post master at your P.O. Terrible thing, and hard to fathom the post office emps would mess with a package, I thought mail tampering was a federal offense?
I am really thinking about using UPS / FedEx from now on after hearing this, may be more $$$ but at least you have some direct recourse with them.
Rob

They are all just as crooked.

My dad recently ordered some expansive sticks from a reputable vendor we all use. When they arrived (USPS) they were in a plastic bag and were wet. Seems "someone" damaged the original packaging in transit and their best idea was to put almost 40 soaking wet cigars into a plastic bag for delivery. After some discussions the vendor made good by reshipping the order but only after some hassling.

UPDATE:

Ok, my wife went to the Post Office today to raise hell and she got the run around. Something to the effect of:

"Well, what probably happened was it came open during shipment and the contents just fell out."

"I doubt that any postal employee took anything, there are tons of cameras all over the office and we never know when they are on or when they will review the tapes, it just isn't worth it to try and steal something out of a box."

"The delivery guy should have delivered that box with a sticker that said "Empty", I'm not sure why he delivered it like that."

"We'll forward this information to our head office and look into it."

So let me sum it up for ya. The USPS could give a rats ass and is taking a "catch me if you can" stance on this. To be honest.....it's exactly what I expected.

This being the second time this has happened, along with the story of the BOTLs here replacing yopur losses, the press might just like this story. I bet the counter clerk has different answers for a reporter, or his boss after the reporter talks to them.

Yeah, good call Matt. Go back tomorrow, tell them you're getting the local media involved, and see what happens.

I'm sure you have a local Fox affiliate. Does their news show have a "good guy" that goes after people who screw other people? Get him... as often as I've watched those reports, the Fox guy is always the one who does not stop hounding the target.

Did she mention to the lady that the tape had been cut Wyatt?

I wish I could sound surprised by their disassociating response, but that's par for the course with the USPS. I think the media story would be interesting, not to mention it would bring more press to CP!

Got a stellar package today from Lkyman to fill in the void, hehe.

Thanks a ton Scott. Oh, and I'm super excited about the other hitch hikers :)
