Vick takes a deal

But wait a second, he told the American public and Roger Goodell face to face that he had "nothing to do with it". So he's a liar and a felon? :rolleyes: I hope the deal includes some hard time and a ban from the game he was so overrated at.
 
It sounds like he's waiting to hear back from the NFL to see how the plea deal will affect his eligibility to keep playing. So is any team in the NFL stupid enough to sign him on after all this? Or will there be some clause in his contract that allows him to keep receiving an absurd amount of money even though he's a scumbag?

He probably has some sort of morals clause in his contract, which, the moment he pleads guilty, will allow Atlanta to void his deal.

I also hope whatever punishment the NFL gives him is enforced from the end of his prison sentence. Nothing would be worse for him to be suspended while he's in jail.

The NFL just said "No action will be taken until they conclude their own investigation"

I'm not a Vick fan (over-rated as a player), but part of me thinks he's getting extra crispy because he's who he is. I believe there are alot of worse things done that get much less punishment, not saying he doesn't deserve punishment, i guess i'm saying i wish people would get as outraged over crimes against children, etc., it's dog fighting for Pete's sake. He must not be too bright to put the millions his career represents at risk for dog fighting...

Is this getting too 'political' ???
 
Whatever he gets, it is too good for him.

Worst quarterback in NFL history for numerous reasons. I could do without ever hearing about him again.

It's not the dog fighting I have a serious problem with (though I do not condon it), it is the cruelity after the fact, where they killed (by drowning in some cases) the losing dogs.

I happened to walk out of my house one night and my neighbor's pit bulls were fighting and he was trying to break them up. I orginally thought one of the dogs had hold of him, so I jumped the fence to help. Believe me, I didn't want to be around them fighting, let alone try to break them up. I helped him break them up, and to my surprise, neither of the dogs were mad, they just wanted to fight. What I am trying to say, fighting has been bred into this breed and they will fight on their own. Pitting them for sport is very cruel and should not be tolerated.

Vick deserves the worst that can be thrown at him! The only injustice that surfaces here is the many-many thugs who get away with everything from rape to murder because of their position in sports!

Make an example out of him and maybe it will wake up a few of the NFL's thugs who are not too far gone already!

I don’t think he’s getting crisp because he is who he is. He’s getting fried because the guy went to people’s yards and stole there pets and used them for practice or tied them up for baiting. I don’t care who you are that shit aint right.
 
Buh Bye Vick!!!!!

I'm glad that this was not some long drawn out court case televised on public television for all to see. Now, hopefully he is given some sort of jail time upwards of six months.
