2 year old Anejo was fantastic, but

Smoked another Shark from '05 and it was awesome. Compared to those having only 1 year of age, it mellowed out some more with less sweetness and a little less kick to it which seemed just right to me.

I know it's subjective, but what are others' experiences with more age on them? Does it mellow more? Does the flavor change much? Other reviews seem to indicate but anyone not like it with more age?

The OR I had was well blended. Meaning the tobacco married well. Smooth and tasty!

I've been gifted two of these over the years but that would be the sum total of every one I've ever seen. They are resting comfortably in my cabinet but I'm thinking one will get sacrificed to the "fire gods" this year, on my "significant decimal" birthday..... :thumbs:

Anejos are a funny smoke; some guys, myself included, just love 'em and hoard them every chance they get which is unfortunately not very often. Five here, ten here.....'bout the best a guy can do. Some guys don't care that much for the flavor profile. To each their own, to be sure.

As far as age, IMHO it does magic things to both Anejos and Opies. The blends the Fuente's use seem to really benefit from some controlled down time. Only wish there were more to be had..... :whistling:
