*pops his head up from out of a fog*

Hey guys! I'm starting to feel a little normal from all the travel I have done recently. Time to settle up. :)

IdahoGN took envelope #14 I believe, and I took envelope #10; we turned them all upside down, shuffled them, and choose an envelope in front of each other. Shawn ended up with one of the worst hands possible :0 , and I had a Qh and Jh for two pair: Queens and Fives. So it looks like I beat Seadub, but owe dartplayer1. I'll get these out to you before my birthday on Friday, else who knows when they will fly. LOL!
Seadub, I got my poker winnings the other day. DAAUUUM! I swear we only bet for 2 premium cigars?!?! Thanks buddy!

On a side note. The other day I showed my girlfriend my coolidor, and she said she would never buy me cigars again. And I told her that was OK, I had plenty, plus she would probably have a tough time getting the cigars I liked. Well, she was right next to me when I opened up your package and now she wants to know why she can't buy me cigars if they make me so happy? So I tried to explain about how many fakes are out there, yada yada ... she just didn't get it. She thought I was being patronizing, like she is too stupid to figure it out. I told her to stick to cigar paraphernalia.

So what do you guys do if someone close to you wants to buy you cigars as a gift but is really not up on the cigar industry?

My wife has tried several times and failed. I've finally convinced her to just get a gift certificate to the local B&M and let me pick out what I want. She's finally ok with that now.

Wife buys me cigars sometimes I just smoke them and make sure she knows i enjoyed them which i do even if they are dog rockets because she bought them for me. For me it is kinda like the ugly sweater your grandma gave you when you were a kid you wore it when she came over just to make her feel good.

X2...........I was going to say the exact same thing, but Brandon beat me to it. A gift card gives you the anticipation of knowing you can go in and pick exactly what you are in the mood for. I just make sure to include my wife when I get home with the goods. "Wanna see what you bought me for Christmas hon?"

I have given my family members a few vendors' information that know what I like / want, and advise them just to call and tell them how much they want to spend; then the vendor will take care of the rest.

My girl buys me cigars. Of course I always tell her what I want and or need.

I hand them the bill from the CC company and ask themto make at least ONE monthly payment!

Nice hit, Chris!

You give her the phone numbers of your favorite sources. Worked for me!

My girl asked me if she could get me some cigars for Christmas. I told her if she wanted to only go to a specific B&M that knows who I am and let him help her pick them out. Although I'm not a picky as you guys might be, as my taste isn't that refined.

I told my girlfriend that she can get me cigar accessories. I think for the most part, accessories should be pretty safe. This year I got a TSA approved lighter holder, and a portable gas heater so I no longer have to freeze my ass off outside!

Both my dear Mother and my Wife know if they want to get me cigars as gifts they just need to walk into a store and ask where the Tatuajes are...

That's what I'm talkin about!! That is an awesome cigar accessory! I'll be selling my house next year, and I have been wanting one of those outside gas heaters, but who knows where I'll land and if I'll be able to use a big one. A small portable gas heater might just be the trick. Gotta link? I think I remember seeing one at Costco.com ...

Thanks to everyone for the suggestions.

It's that way with any hobby...people can not buy things for your hobby - whether it be cigars, golf, or video games. A nice cigar lighter? Yes. A golf shirt? Yes. A table to put your feet up while playing games? Yes. But not cigars, clubs, or games. You are so specific about your hobby that first they're probably going to get something that's not your cup of tea. Second, they're probably going to get ripped off compared to where you can get deals.

Having said all that, anyone at CP can gift me cigars! :sign: Connoisseurs can get other connoisseurs the right thing (not that I am a connoisseur, just relative to the non-smoking population who may get me a truckload of Swishers).

Well, I think I screwed up again. I found a portable table top heater at Home Depot for a good price and went and bought it with my birthday money from my grand parents that showed up a couple months late. I brought it home and was getting all excited to set it up to try it out and got, "You went out and bought it?" ... Oops ... I didn't realize that someone had been spying on me anonymously.
