My girlfriend finally watched Batman Begins Friday night for the first time. (I know I know) Well a bunch of guys on my shift and her and I decided to go watch "The Dark Knight" last night. She LOVED the first one. Well as soon as the end credits came up (When "The Dark Knight" flashed on the screen) she said "Thank God that's over! I didn't know what to say we all looked at her in astonishment. What were we supposed to say? Any help please.

Hey! Please don't discuss the movie, some people haven't seen the movie. I'm waiting for netflix.

cheapo! Gotta see it on the big screen!

X2 - just saw it this weekend, definitely one to check out on the big screen:

Spoiler:
Especially for the base jump scene and that hospital explosion at the end of the movie, that was kick ass!

One of the best movies I've seen in a while - great script, solid acting all around (especially Joker & Harvey Dent), and some awesome action stunts/special effects.

I really like it when Micheal Keyton.... Um.... What.... Oh... they remade a movie they remade....

Did she give any particular reason why she didn't like it? Aside from maybe having to pee through half of it?

Thought you may enjoy a female perspective, guys :) My future hubby and I went to see it for my birthday. And yes, I really did want to see it as I loved Batman Begins, but I love my fiance too, so I went for him as much as I did for me, even if it was my b-day (no fun if your significant other isn't having fun too, is it?). Here is the thing, Dark Knight is a heavy movie, there is a lot going on and it is loooong. I had to watch Batman begins about 2-3 times to really get into it, like it and 'get it'. I think I will have to do the same with DK, though I did enjoy it in the theater.

So, my suggestion, either go see it again or watch it when it comes out on dvd/on demand and see if she can get into it more. I know I will certainly be watching it again b/c I know I didn't really 'get it' completely the first time through. It is so involved, how could you? It is like smoking a good cigar, subtle nuances and beneath the surface surprises that you may not get the first time you smoke a certain stick (or watch a certain film). So you smoke another. And another. You get my drift... ;)

I caught in on IMAX opening weekend and all I can say is WOW. If you have an IMAX near you, I highly suggest checking it out on that.

I heard it was a bit overwhelming in the IMAX, did you feel that way?

Absolutely not. The scenes that were specifically filmed with IMAX cameras (there were 5) were simply breathtaking. I've seen it in IMAX and normal theater and the IMAX was by FAR the better experience.

In this case I don't think the term overwhelming is bad, in fact, I thought it really added another dimention to the movie. All around one of the best movies I've seen in a long time. VERY intense but fantastic!!!!!

AND Q - If you'd like to continue seeing your gilfriend naked ??? , you'll just smile and say nothing! and go see it again with more of your buddies! ;) I think there was another thread about the movie last week with reviews and all, maybe somone there has a take on the flick that might make sense of what your GF thought or makes her change her mind. :0

There is nothing to say. She may not have liked the movie. Perfectly o.k.

I thought it was well done! however I felt like it was a long movie, some of us with back problems have a hard time sitting still that long. :whistling:
I really enjoyed Heath Ledger as the Joker, he made the film for me. Make up and special effects should be nominated for Oscars IMO.
4 out of 5 stars...
