Fuente makes them and an outside company called Promethus distributes them.

If you can catch Fuente X's at a fair price, or even in the 3 pack tins, you are doing way better.

Yeah, I'm pretty sure Forbidden X's are aged in Calvados Apple Congac barrels for x amount of time. They are somewhat different in flavor and blend from regular release Opus X's. The Tins are just normal release Robusto, Perfection, and Cheateau's release in the tin.
