Going to London tommorow on Business

SPIVY

THE STIG
I am going to London for a few days on business. The exchange rate has not been this low in ages, so I am hoping to snag some aged Habanos. I will prob stop by JJ Foxx, Dunhill, Davidoff, and Desmond. I'm hoping to score some 80's Davidoffs, and enough so that I may be able to help out a few BOTLs. Any other places I should go. Not only for cigars, this is my first time in London.

Ed

Hope you have very deep pockets if you expect to be smoking aged cigars in London!

Have fun! Hope you find some aged smokes you are looking for! :) ~jealous~ hehe

I am hoping to sign a new deal that may grant me the ability to get a few nice cigars. London isnt only expensive for CC it is for everything.

Oh, plus there is no where to smoke these cigars now in London. Do a search on Infinity he made comments on his trip to London and the lack of a place to smoke and the high prices.

LCDH in SOHO had some aged Habanos when I was there a few months ago. They were a bit pricey and between 12 - 15 pounds each.

You are going at a great time because, as you said, the exchange rate is pretty favorable right now. Definitely check out Desmond and also the Dunhill store; they may still have some '70s Partagas Lusitania 109s left

You still can providing the weather is nice enough for you to want to do it outside. Finding a cafe with outdoor seating is your best bet. Many have capitalized on the smoking ban with this. Let me know how Desi is doing if you get to make it by his shop. He's getting up there in years, hoping to get over there before something happens.

If the weather permits enjoy cigars walking along the pathways along the Thames in scenic spots near the Tower of London and Tower Bridge, or near Houses of Parliament and Westminster Abbey etc.

Here's a top ten list for sights to see in London. http://www.visitlondon.com/attractions/cul...ten-attractions

I'd drop the Science Museum and Tussauds, and add Westminster Abbey, Buckingham Palace (particularly if tour is available) and/or Houses of Parliament.

If you get into any trouble there make sure to run up to the Bobbies and tell them you're friends with JFields.:sign:

Don't let them fool you. London is pretty cheap. Now a trip to Moscow, Russia will enlighten you how cheap every city is with one exception being Tokyo which is the 2nd most expensive city in the world. Will see if Moscow or Tokyo takes top honors this year. Since they flip back and forth on that title.

London is expensive...

Dont get me started about moscow. I have a family member that just came back from there.

Bah...I spent 2 months there. You can not tell me anything that I hadn't seen happen there myself. First hand knowledge. Its so I fun I want to go back for a year or two. :p

Now London is like a festering outhouse with all their taxes, no smoking, and exchange rate which is better now than 6 months ago.

Horrible news. Desmond retired and took all of his goodies with him. I also stopped by JJ Foxx and they have a limited fuente story set that was made for them with 4 BBMF (2 Natural 2 Maduro). I am not sure if it is worth it at 165 Quid. What do you guys think?

If it was made for just them, and it has a special box stating that.............Then I'd get it, but that's just me. To each his own though.
You'd certainly have something that not many have. Other than the cigars of course. I'm sure the blend is the same as any others.

Shame about Desi. I had a feeling about him the last time we saw him. He seemed tired and worn out.
