I am waiting for my first humidor in the mail, which should arrive in about 3 days. I have already had my cigars out of a humidor for about 4 days, not including the time it took for them to arrive to me from Famous. Needless to say, I fear that they will be too dry by the time the humidor arrives and I have it ready to go.
I have been reading about how to properly setup a humidor, including calibrate the hygrometer. Can I use the calibration process to at least help add some humidity to the cigars while I wait? I was thinking of using a measuring cup with some salt and water. What do you think?
If this will work, what ratio of water and salt should I use?
