I have found over the years that purchasing online can really make a difference in price if you look in the right places.

I personally have used and prefer:
Cigar International
CigarBid

Where do you guys like to purchase your sticks? :)

Imho you can get the best deals at cbid -- if you are patient and use some self control.....CI is good too, especially with their daily and weekly specials....there are certain cigars that I get from Famous.....their auction often has some very good deals too. Also use (only when a good deal emerges) Rockys, Holts, Lynns, JR.....that's probably all I have used the past couple years.

Well then, I suppose it's good for you that you found Cigar Pass. ;) If I were you, I'd do some research (search being key) and look into some of the excellent retailers who are CP members.

Personally, my top retailers are www.leafandale.com cigarsdirect.com and cigarplace.biz

I use most of those sites too... but the members/vendors I've bought from and am currently buying from here at CigarPass crush the competition with no question. Personal, friendly service and prices that won't be beat anywhere no matter how hard you search.

The best part is you feel like you're transacting with a friend, not a website. Stick around and you'll see!

I think it's just terrible that a company like CI shames its employees by making them go out and flog up business online like a Malaysian spambot!

Must rip the soul right out of man, being treated like that. :(

Sorta. :whistling:

I don't have a problem with CI. I've bought several things from there. They've usually got some decent samplers. I check Cbid for run-of-the-mill stuff. I've scored several 5 packs of decent sticks for under $10. Mike's Cigars has some decent prices...just bought a 5er of Plasencia TKOs for $11 shipped.

Tampa Humidor has good prices on singles, and free shipping on them as well.

If all you want are bargains on more common cigars, yes, CI and CBID and the like. I prefer a relationship with a tobacconist. For those lucky enough to live in a state with low taxes, there you go. For those who don't, there are several retail Brothers here like Isy@Uptown, Puffstuff, Keystone Raider, NorcalMark, Hermit11, and now bilder. It is good business to take care of your good customers first when the good stuff comes in. You'll NEVER get that from the big box stores. Can't forget the Stinkimonkey and his famous sidekick Skisomalia.

Are you paying your state tobacco tax?

I am new to the whole personal vendor purchasing. Do you have to know what you want before you are able to purchase? I like online stuff because you can browse the full selection. Can you guys share any other information about these vendors?

Thanks :)

Stick around....you'll get to know what's what soon enough!

Check out the 'retailer' area.

I love to buy from our vendors on the site.. All great people..

x2. You'll find that our on-site vendors are excellent.
X3. Stick with the guys that take care of us and contribute to the forums and you won't be disappointed in any way; price, service, and availability will all be top notch.

You can call any of "our" guys and chat about what you like, and what you'd like to try. Trust me, they'll hook you up.....

Good luck - B.B.S.

Good suggestion, Tom. I would add that a "tobacconist" in my context is an authority on cigars. He can advise you and can provide suggestions on what to try. As you develop a relationship, your tobacconist may throw in a sample or two of something he thinks you will like.
