I had always been one to clip my cigars. But, when I recently started smoking Padron 1926 and 1964 series I started punching them. Something about the shape of the head on those cigars just called for a punch. Anyway, I had a cheap punch that did the trick, but not terribly well. The cuts were not very clean. So, I started looking for a good punch. I was particularly interested to find a single cutter with multiple punch sizes. After reading much praise here for the Victorinox knife, I ordered one the other week. I have been using it for a couple of days now and simply love it. The knife is sleek, has a great heft and feel to it, and fits easily into jeans pockets. Most importantly, it gives me very nice clean cuts. Anyone out there looking for a multi-size punch, this is a great little cutter. I am definitely a fan.

You wrote my post for me; I just got one of these and I just love it.

Xikar's...?? Got two. Palio's...?? Yep....two of those, too. And, a cheap punch. Started using it, and I liked the results.

So, I bought the little Victronox and it's just wonderful. Three sizes of punches and they are hella sharp. I'm using it now for almost everything, except torpedos. It's a solid, sharp, great little tool and a great addition to the smoknig experience. They aren't cheap, but they are just great. Very easy to recommend.

Cheers - B.B.S.

Yeah I have this on the old wish list! Tried to convince my fiance to let me register for it but that was a no go.

Looks like a nice kniff does anyone know if the lifetime warranty covers it to be sharpened?

From their web page:

Your Victorinox Original Swiss Army Knife has a lifetime warranty against defects in material and workmanship. This warranty does not cover abuse, misuse, or normal wear and tear. If your knife is defective, Victorinox Swiss Army will repair or replace it, at our option, and send it back to you at no charge. -SA

.....so, my guess is no, you'll have to pay to get it sharpened. Only a guess and I don't speak for Victorinox......

I don't use punches very often, but when I do, I use .45acp brass, sharpened with a RCBS Chamfering too.

Anyone have a link for this tool????

Do they make such a tool with cigar scissors on it as well as the punch set? ??? Now that I would probably change to. For now, I'll stick with my $2 keychain punch and xi2.

I've got several punches and the Victornix is the best by far. While a punched cigar looks better, I still find that a cut cigar smokes better. Especially toward sthe end. I know part of this has to do with me being a "fast" smoker, but to that end...I guess that is why I still cut more often than I punch.

They do make one with a cigar cutter, however I've not found one with both cutter and punches. If they did, I'd already have it too. :) With Scissors

I always buy my $2 punch cutters from our favorite online auction site. They never fail.
