Actually, it has been tried, but is not in operational use right now. Still as an adrenaline junkie, I'd "strap" it on.

I wasn't impressed with my most recent SLR A, but most of the VR's have impressed me. I havent tried the 8-9-8; so I can't vote there, and the RASS wasn't bad either. Though call, more a process of elimination. I'd have to go with the VR.

Typically, I find that if I'm going to be mobile while smoking, I'll use a punch to keep the cigar from unravelling. I haven't noticed much of a difference in taste other than a very faint buildup of tar where the punch is installed; usually not enough to really taint the taste.
