    Haiti

There actually is a Hatian cigar company. The name escapes me right now, but I've met the owners here in Miami. They grow a modest amount of Hatian filler tobacco in the western part of the island. They then blend their Hatian tobacco with Dominican tobaccos to produce their cigars which they...

    La Luna de la Habana

Wilkey, as far as I'm concerned you have done nothing wrong and have absolutely nothing to apologize for. I suppose that the rumor of my untimely demise was partly fueled by news of my recent string of illnesses and my absence from the BBs. It's true that I've been physically challenged over the...

    La Luna de la Habana

WOW! I'm sitting here smoking a cigar (La Luna) wondering how in the hell I could have died without even hearing a peep about it. No one ever tells me anything, damn it!! :angry2:   I think that the announcement of my demise is a tad premature.  :blush...

    keeping cigars at 65%

Gents, I'm not sure that you want to hear a crunching sound :whistling: What you do want is to feel a little "play" when you gently squeeze a cigar, without hearing a crunching sound. A "crunching" sound is a tell-tale sign that the wrapper is too dry. So squeeze away ;)

    Ive got BEETLES!

   Fire works everytime, I can attest to that. Beetles make a great 'popping" sound when torched :whistling: ;)

    Ive got BEETLES!

Gentlemen, Unless you are using a commercial type freezer that can reach temperatures of -40 degrees, freezing your cigars is, well, like using duct tape to patch a garden hose leak. In other words this is a temporary fix. I know this from personal experience and research over the years. Larvae...

Looking for a cigar and need help.

I believe the Mexican cigar brand you are referring to is, Santa Clara . This Mexican "puro" is very popular in Mexico and also in Europe, but Santa Clara is not imported into the U.S. Cheers, Gael

    How cold is too cold...?

Tom, Not to worry. Cigars keep fine in cooler temperature. I keep my commercial humidor at 59 degrees year round. I'm sure that mid-50s would be fine. However, keep in mind that at the lower temps it is critical to maintain a decent relative humidity, somewhere in the mid-sixties. An environment...
