I've tried and had some pretty good years on the Mouton Cadet, I think 99 and 00, can't remember for sure, it opened up pretty good. I think I poured it out in a pitcher and then back in the bottle and let it sit for a half hour or so. Didn't care for the '02, and haven't tried the '03 yet...

I couldn't take it anymore, the suspense was killing me. I ordered a bottle of the 20 year a couple days ago. Also got the 15 yr, and another bottle of 12 yr "lot b" and eagle rare 17 yr. Gonna be some fun "camping " this year ;) The eagle rare 17 yr made some sweet mint julips last year...

Nice notes! Filed them away :) I never have had a chance to participate in a Real wine tasting such as this, must have been fun! The closest we get is camping or dinner with friends and each bring a few bottles of choice. That's ok though I love wine alone or with friends :)

I've seen that Beaujolais in the stores but have never tried it. I've mostly been into Cabs and bordeauxs, but have tried alot of chainti's, pinos, shiraz', merlots, a few Zins, and some odd blends. There's a nice 90pt chianti at costco for 15 bucks right now, pretty heavy and opens up nice...
