What Whiskey, Rum or Cognac are you drinking today.

Ron Varadero Añejo 7 Años that I picked up at the Partagas factory a few weeks back. Great stuff - better than HC with the exception of Barrel Proof which a great rum.

    Zacapa 23

Although I really enjoy Zacapa 23yr I still prefer Pyrat XO rum over the Zacapa. Perfect level of caramel sweetness yet complexity in flavor.

Best cc right out of the box.

My three would be Cohiba Robusto, SLR Churchill's, and La Gloria MdO #2

    New to Home Brew

Homebrewing intrigues me and I am ready to start. A colleague has loaned me his home-brew equipment (its like a basic start up kit - plastic bucket style) so I only need to supply the ingredients. For those homebrew veterans what advice other than sterilization would you pass along to to a...

    Opus Question

My local B&M received about 6-8 boxes of these but they want the equivalent of my children for them - just like the regular production Opux X Power Ranges that are priced at $27 each. I believe they wanted $49 each for the Love Affairs. Weird....they had nearly a full box of the Opus...

    Best Drink for Cigars

Thanks for posting - this sounds really interesting. I searched for a bottle and a Liquor store across from where I work has a bottle in. Side note; I hate WA State Liquor store. Prices are getting as high as those found in British Columbia and the selection is piss-poor.

    Something for the fall.

The only Perdomo I really enjoyed has been reblended. I loved the old Reserve Maduro's.

    What's the best sleeper scotch?

Coal Ila Rarely hear much about this one. Great balance of sweet and smoke. Almost a creme brulee quality t it.

    2009 Toast Across America

Seattle had their TAA event last Friday - cigars are definitely Don Carlos #2's. The Seattle event was smaller this year than past years and is costly for retailers who commit to a min. donation for the event. As far as I can gather the event usually is run a "loss" for the retailers - so to...

Gurkha " Limited Release" Black Puro

Appears that Gurka's are a love it or hate it cigar across the brand's offering - I am on the hate it side with one exception - the Rare Breed. Personally I find them to be one dimensional and acrid for the most part. For the price point I stay away from them although deals can be found on...

    Macallan 15 for $49!

Wish Washington State stores could carry liquor in their Costco stores (or anything other than a State Store). That's a great price!

La Aurora Releases Final 100 Años Size, the Lancero

Looking forward to these; I too really enjoyed the corona's. In general the La Aurora's have become my "go-to" cigars.

    Frustrated

Still beats Canadian prices by a long shot! RP Vintage 90 Torpedo is $27. Just a new perspective to make you feel better

    Market Tobacco Patch

They do have a decent selection of cigars, and the humidor is difficult to navigate as it is a small store (normal size for the Market though). They often have events and bring in reps for tastings. Still prefer Rain City cigars though - not that far of a drive outside of downtown.
