    Robusto vs. Toro

FOG's correct me if I'm wrong, but I think it depends on the maker. For example, Pete Johnson thinks each cigar should represent its shape and have its own characteristics. Other makers think the whole line should taste the same. Here's a link to an interview with Pete Johnson Just my thoughts

    Owen Roe

I enjoyed a bottle of Owen Roe 2005 Pinot the other night while at a business dinner. I had never heard of the winery but was pleasantly surprised. They look to be a small producer but they have a pretty wide range of wines. Does anyone have experience with some of their other wines?

    Do you lock it?

I learned the hard way. Don't leave the key in the lock! I locked my 100 ct humi before I left town on a business trip. While I was gone my wife had some friends over and one of their kids liked the tassel on the key so he gave it a tug. He ripped the key and the lock plate right out of the...

    What do you do?

I sell fencing to the home centers. If you've bought cedar fencing from Home Depot or Lowe's it most likely came from our mill.

    Fumeeworld.com

Great deals. Just picked up short stories for $3.30 a stick and some other great buys as well. Thanks Heather and by the way I love the photos on the site. Must be fun to meet some of the greats in the cigar business.

I smoked a cigar last night

I guess I worded the question poorly. I don't want to rush through a cigar but enjoy it from start to finish. I've tried 5 vegas shorties but found them lacking. Hemingway short stories are great, but they last me at least 30 minutes and I save them for smoking in my man cave (my shed) during...

WARNING! Contents may be offensive to others!

I picked up a couple of blondies, but after the first I knew they weren't for me. My wife however loved them. She doesn't smoke often but when she does that's all she'll smoke. Fine by me, now she won't grab my my WOAM (Her second favorite).

I smoked a cigar last night

I was walking the dogs last night enjoying a CAO Brazilia - Gol! when out of nowhere it started snowing. We've had a rough winter here in the Northwest, but I thought we had seen the last of the white stuff. I tried my best to weather the elements, but I laid the cigar down and high tailed it...

    Cohiba Piramides LE 2005

I'm pretty sure I know the answer to this but just in case. I received a box of Cohiba Piramides LE 2005 as a gift for the birth of my first born (she's cute as hell by the way). My question is, are they fakes? I see no where online where Cohiba produced a limited edition '05. Everything looks...

where do you smoke in the cold months?

I'm with SmokeSignal, I have a 10x8 shed that's wired with power. I have a light, space heater and it's close enough to pick up the WiFi signal.

    Cello off?

I have yet to participate in a pass of trade (trying to remedy that) and have a question before I join one. Should the cello be left on the cigar for a trade or pass. I didn't see anything in the "Rules of a Cigar Pass" Thanks for the help!

    Humidor Tracker

I found I was always looking in my humidor just to look so I created an access database to keep track of my cigars and reviews that I hope to start soon. My only problem is I'm some what new to cigars (2 years or so) and I would like someone with more experience to take a look at it and...

Today I have been mostly spening money....

I have the Palio and a Xikar. They both work great but I think I prefer the Palio. Like all things it comes down to personal preference, but for me it usually comes down to which one I can find first. Nice grab, Enjoy!

    Skoal snuff and cigars

I thought I was the only one. I only do it with yard gars though. Usually on a Sunday morning while mowing the lawn. It does add a little something to the flavor.

    It's a BOY.....so, what cigars do I buy?

Congrats! My first was born a week and a half ago. Most my friends wouldn't know a good cigar if it fell in their lap. So I smoked a Perdomo Edicion de Silvio and handed out 5 Vegas Series A's. Their one of my favorite everyday smokes and they won't break the bank.
