    Hmm...Start Pipe Smoking?

I have some filter pipes from Europe, where they are more popular, and I smoke them with and without the filters. Mostly without, since I can't be bothered to get up from my chair once I'm settled in and go find one. Here's a link, Alt Smokers Pipes, that will give you more information...

    Dunhill tobacco is no more

Well, couldn't find Aperitif in bulk :( , but found a site with REALLY good prices on the tinned version of it and many other Dunhill blends. RYO. Blends other than just Dunhill as well.

    Dunhill tobacco is no more

I hope you get that filled too, Rob. I stocked up on 3 Year Matured Va. when it went on sale at Smoker's Haven, and I'd squirreled away 10 tins of the same before that. Now I'm thinking I'd better look for a stash of Aperitif, since I tried that a while back and really liked it.

    Dunhill tobacco is no more

I'm sure there's still plenty in the pipeline, so hie thee to your local B&M, online retailer, etc. Besides, I thought that Dunhill had long ago transferred their manufacturing to Orlik's in Germany, and that the Murray blends hadn't been available for some time. ???

    NEWBIES UNITE!

I'm sure the Nooblerette intended a total bitch slap on me today, but the truth is that my reaction was more like" "What was that?! Did a mosquito just land on me?" Fat Albert In all fairness I gotta say it was a nice box and much...

    Israel Kamakawiwo'ole

First heard him on our honeymoon on the Big Island. Went right out and bought every CD I could find. There are many fine Hawai'ian musicians but his voice is truly special.

    Jonesy...you are absolutely clueless...

:sign: :sign: :sign: In about 3 days or so, Mr. Jones will be seen wandering his neighborhood in scorched and ragged clothing, raising his arms to the sky and screaming: "WTF did I do to deserve THIS!!??" Well obviously I don't know how to use this newfangled editing stuff!!!

    What's in your pipe today?

Vermont Maple, a blend from Pipeworks & Wilke in a Savinelli Natural. A very nice, non-cloying aromatic in a pipe that has to be one of the best deals in quality briar ever.

    What's in your pipe today?

Had some Trout Stream in a Charatan Canadian. I used to think that the whole "Lane Era" mystique was just that, but this pipe has me thinking otherwise...

    What's in your pipe today?

This AM, Mississippi Mud in a Radice bent apple. Good stuff, fruity and smoky at the same time.

    good pipe smoke

I don't come around here often but I do monitor this thread. First, welcome to the world of pipes and pipe tobaccos. A great source for information on blends is http://www.tobaccoreviews.com. Butternut Burley or Trout Stream are great blends to start with, a web search will show you where they...

    What's in your pipe today?

Finished off a bowl of Escudo in a Radice Wick hawkbill that I started last night, now about to fire up a bowl of Erinmore in a Radice prototype that, apparently, is not gonna make it to market. Fresh pot of coffee nearly done.

    What's in your pipe today?

From Middleton's Walnut to 1792 in one day!!! Can't get much more of a range than that! :D This AM it was a bowl of Old Lodge in a Hilson bent. I've had this pipe for over 40 years. Guess today was the reason I kept hauling it around from house to house.

    A Blend to beware of!

Yup, that's my review at the bottom. I felt it was my duty to warn folks, despite my usually shy and retiring nature. :sign: :sign: :sign:

    A Blend to beware of!

I put this in another thread where it didn't really belong, so here it is by itself. I pretty much love all of the Gawith blends. I've got multiple tins of HoTW, Old Gowrie, 3 Noggins, and others. But I have no idea WHAT their blenders were thinking of when they put out XBlend!!! Oh, the...
