Overly expensive, IMHO. It really took at least 1/2 of a pint for it to grow on me. I think you really have to have an affinity for barleywine to appreciate it.

It was late this year. Other years, you could start getting it by the end of Jauary, but this year it pushed out into Feb. I believe I heard about the batch loss on thier website, but it might have been a tweet or something, and I checked their archives, and didn't find anything. Long story...

It is a seasonal released in late winter. Last year, they moved to a new facility in Hershey, PA and unwillingly had to scrap an entire batch. Delivery problems ensued. I think they're all up and running full strength again, and it is an excellent beer. Will ETA: added the word "unwillingly"
