    Whore and Herf HERFS

I'm not going to be able to do anything this week. My schedule turned out to be a little more hectic than I'd planned. I will be going to the Christmas party next weekend though. I hope you guys have a good time. D

    Spreading the cheer contest

Hmmm, I was contemplating a couple of stories to post, but after reading that example I'm going to have to think about it some more. ??? All of mine were more sentimental than funny, and it would be rather strange reading them after reading that story. For some reason, that story disturbs...

Flor de Baloney, has anyone had one?

Thanks guys! I've been studying for finals all day and I really needed a good laugh. D

    Torches

The little Ronson $2.99 torches seem to be pretty formidable. I've had one for six months that has been dropped and thrown around quite a bit without a problem. I had originally planned to use it until I had the money for a nice one, but as resilient and effective as it is I see no need to...

    LFD Factory Press Limitado

I've seen these at a couple of shops but haven't tried them yet. If my memory serves me, preembargo has them at his shop. Maybe he can tell us a little more about them if he's tried them. D

    My first cognac experience

I got invited to a Remy Martin Cognac and Diamond Crown Maximus event last night. It was my first time to taste cognac, so I thought I would share my thoughts on it. They had the V.S.O.P., the 1738, and the XO available to sample. I started at the bottom and went up the line. I found the...

    DFW Christmas Party!

I'll be there as well. I cleared out both days because it doesn't really matter which one we do it on as far as I'm concerned, but I definately don't want to miss it. D

    What did you smoke today

I've had similar experiences with Rocky Patel cigars. It seems like every third one I smoke is a dud, which is why I don't really smoke them anymore. I smoked a DC Max Churchill tonight, followed by a Vibe and a Professor Silo Churchill (for the low cost/bundle reviews). The DC was good, but...

    Professor Sila Churchill

Well, I decided to tackle the beast. :D A) The foot of this cigar is a little shaggy looking to me. It has more veins than I expect to see in a cigar, but that doesn't really matter to me as long as it doesn't affect the smoking experience. Decent looking sand colored wrapper. B) This is...

    Vibe --Toro Grande

    A) This is an attractive cigar with an oily chocolate brown wrapper. Veins were minimal in mine. There were some seams in the wrapper that were quite visible though. B) Pre-light, this cigar seems like it may be an absolutely amazing smoke for those on a budget. The nose on this cigar is a...

I've been hit by 2 truly awesome BOTL's on here....

Fantastic target guys! Mr_Wolf gave me a welcome to this board that I'll never forget. He showed me what it meant to be a BOTL in true form, and he did it at a very hard time in my life. He's one of the guys that showed me what a brotherhood this hobby really is. D

    Padron 80th

Thanks for posting that! I hadn't seen it yet. I found their comments on the spice in cigars very interesting. My tastes are tiring of the spicy cigars at the moment (I've smoked too many of them lately I think), so I think it's about time to fire up a Padron. Maybe I'll pair my last little...

    Newb needs clarification

If I keep them in the baggies, do the baggies need to be open? The crux of the question is whether or not the cigar baggies allow moisture in and out. I know cello does, but I've heard contradicting opinions on the baggies. Thanks, D

    SCHIP Information update.

I think you would be surprised how many will be able to handle the floor tax. Most of the small business guys I work with would say that they would close their doors, not be able to make it, etc., but when the rubber meets the road they love what they do and find a way to make it work. I think...

    Newb needs clarification

I've gotten a few cigars that came in individual cigar ziplocs. Do you guys store these in the humi in the bag? Do you open them first? I have always left them in the ziploc, but opened the top of the ziploc to let the humidity in. Is this the best way to do it? Thanks, D

I misread the post. mmburtch's math is correct, so you can disregard mine. D
