Sounds enticing and a very nice presentation to boot.

The new La Flor Dominicana Factory Press Limitado just arrived. This is a limited release cigar from Litto Gomez, only 1500 boxes were produced. This is the same size cigar as the Factory Press II (6 1/4 x 54) but the blend is totally new.
It has a unique filler blend of Dominican tobaccos all from Litto's farm in La Canela. The binder is Nicaraguan which adds a hint of pepper. And the wrapper is a dark Connecticut Broadleaf Maduro. The blend features an amazing amount of complexity in this medium bodied cigar.
The La Flor Dominicana Factory Press Limitado cigars come in their factory press trays of 12 and are boxed.

So, anybody try one yet?

My local is having their holiday party next week, and someone from LFD will be there. Wonder if they'll have any of these...

I'm especially excited about the Connecticut Broadleaf maduro wrapper. I spoke with Billy and his impression is that the Limitados are milder, more flavorful, and more complex as compared to the FP II. And that's a good thing. With all the talk of the FP II being like a Snickers bar, I found them to be a bit too strong and not as sweet as I'd expected. Hoping this blend will cure all.

I've seen these at a couple of shops but haven't tried them yet. If my memory serves me, preembargo has them at his shop. Maybe he can tell us a little more about them if he's tried them.

I got one in a create a 10 cigar sampler for $67 -- CLICK HERE from Hermit11's "Philly Smoke Shop". Great joint by the way! I recommend Chris all the way.

I've alread smoked it. Consistent, flawless draw, had rich body, pepper + spice. Great tobacco flavor without being harsh and bitter. Note: I never bullshit and say I taste coffee and chocolate in my cigars unless I really do taste it. Good smoke. Would smoke again if I could get a deal, not worth $12 to me, plenty of better $12 cigars. But for $6.70 through Chris's deal he had, definitely-- doubt I'll find it again for that.

jlada,

Thanks for the link. I see that hermit actually has the LFD FP II listed and not the FP Limitado. The original FP came first, followed by the FP II (last year I think), and this year, the FP L. Your description of the smoking is consistent with my impressions of the FP II.

Well, they are certainly no Moontrances...

ROFLMAO!! Coca Cola is not meant to go through one's nose after drinking.....

I saw Moki had posted, and was expecting a picture of a box or two next to a quarter, not the Moontrance reference..... :D

They're good. Sweet. It's like desert but better. I did have some burn problems though, the wrapper was burning more slowly than the filler causing a slight tunnel but with only a few touch ups it was okay. The smoke was abundant and coated your mouth with a sweet front, middle, and finish, coffee and an ever so slight roasted almond. They seemed a little young yet despite the initial aging of the filler, binder, and wrapper, I suppose with some time the flavors will meld more. Overall a good solid smoke and definantly different than the normal LFD maduro, I'm glad I bought a rack. Worht trying atleast once.

Now that's what I was hoping to hear. Thanks, jfk!

Whoops. Just noticed that. I'm dumb.

Anyone gets ahold of some, I'd be in to try it!

I smoked one a few weeks back. Mine had severe tunneling and the ash was VERY FLAKEY. Fairly mil-med in the beginning and very very intense toward the end. Nice sweet tobacco, espresso and slight almond taste.

I couldn't get the FP I or II to agree with me. The first was just way too big and the second gave me a strange taste profile.

I'm a Litto fan though so I will try the FP II Limitado, regardless.
