    Chewing tobacco

I say, everything in moderation and let the chips fall where they may. Obsessing about your health is also unhealthy.

    I think I'm addicted...

When I first started smoking cigars the plain old regular Avo line was my go to cigar. I kind of burnt myself out on them and quit smoking them. I tried the XO and liked it but didn't think it was substantially better than the regular line, a bit more body though. I also tried the Maduro and...

Super Premiums (Are They Really Worth It?)

Hey now, my post " a few posts ago" was just ment as a joke. I don't really think people are all that often tring to impress people with the cigars they smoke. Please don't take it too seriously.

Super Premiums (Are They Really Worth It?)

It's predictable everyone would hop on the "smoke what you like" bandwagon because that's the response these posts always get and will continue getting. And that's fine for you and me but let's consider another type of guy. Someone who doesn't know what he likes and doesn't really much care...

Super Premiums (Are They Really Worth It?)

Basically anything is worth what the seller can consistently get for it. When you get to what is considered the best of the best in anything you are paying for more than just quality, you are paying for prestige, rarity and the satisfaction that it is (supposedly) among the best in the world...

    Custom Blends

I am interested in the idea of custom blending my own tobacco. I am a little too new to pipe smoking to have much of an idea of what might taste well together. I was wondering if you guys have come up with any concoctions you really enjoy. Are there any common mixtures that a lot of people...

    Romeo Y Julieta 1875

If you like mild cigars the reserve real is o.k. I could do without this brand all together though, about as exciting as a Macanudo. And as always, the Cuban version is a totally different story. I think these cigars are just riding off of the name recognition established by the Cuban...

    Boswell's - Chambersburg, PA - May 17

I would love to go, too bad I live in Chicago. That drive may be a little long for me. One of these days though.

    Which cigars should I buy

If it were me I could probably do without these: Hoyo de Monterrey Excalibur Maduro Epicure Gran Habano 3 Siglos Gran Robusto The Edge Sumatra Toro Carlos Torano Exodus 1959 ...But just my biased opinion. I would substitute that with: Cabaiguan Guapo of some sort Illusione (any I guess) A...

    Straw or Hay

That sounds strange. I notice hints of hay/straw like flavors commonly in mild, light colored cigars but it doesn't seem to me there should be a whole lot of that going on in the short story. Must be something strange going on in that humidor. I would suggest trying a full bodied cigar and if...

    Your Least Favorite Fuente?

I'm none to fond of the green labels or the regular Hemingway's, Don Carlos cigars don't do a lot for me either. I do appreciate an occasional opus X and an Anejo when they aren't moldy or gooping tar. I find it refreshing to see that now a days you can say you don't like an Arturo Fuente...

Molina Cigar Co. - Devil's Weed - Raleigh

Nice review! I'm becoming more and more curious about these as I read the reviews. Hope they become easier to find soon.

How long should I keep new cigars in the box?

Put them in the humidor right away. No sense leaving them in the box, you want them to stabilize to the proper humidity as soon as possible and leaving them outside of the humidor too long will dry them out and ruin them. The humidity pack is just for shipping and the cigar box does not likely...

    My biggest purchase so far...

Nice! Those are all among my favorites. So I asume the Holy Lance is the long awaited Lancero. Going to have to go and track down a box myself now.

    Fuente Añejo Shark

It's bad enough that mold has been a problem with Anejo's but now we have to worry about tar too. After spending all that money on a box, not to mention the time tracking it down, to find moldy and/or tarry cigars would just be a nightmare. It's a shame because otherwise they are excellent...

    LCDH Windsor

Well keep in mind that prices there are outrageous. If you want something special Cohiba's are always highly coveted. Montecristo #2's are the most popular cigars in the world or something like that so that might be a good choice however they are inconsistent. Saint Luis Rey are good cigars...

    Johnny-O! Pigtail Lonsdale

Nice review! I've been curious about his cigars and I'll have to try one eventually.

How much do you use on cigars?

What a coincidence, that's exactly the same amount I spend on cigars! As far as smoking... I usually smoke a cigar or a pipe once a day. The Cigars are expensive but the pipe tobacco is dirt cheap so it evens out.

They definitely do. They especially have been after the date of September 11, 2001 for some reason. ??? It is highly unlikely they would mess with you for small amounts and they couldn't if you took off the bands, but of course you and I would never do this as it's illegal. Technically...
