Man, a while ago I tried an AVO XO, just a few puffs and it was great, so I bought one for my self and loved it. Reminded me of the Davidoff Millennium I had a while back.

Recently tried an AVO Domaine, and absolutly loved it, more than the XO I think.

Well I had a wish granted for an AVO 80th and smoked it recently. This thing was even more amazing the the previous two! Every AVO i try is awesome.

I have an AVO Maduro for tonight....hopefully I'll feel the same.

Anyone else like AVO's this much? Any similar smokes out there to try, that will have the same qualities as these?

What would you suggest I try?

I've had the XO, the 787, and one of the signature something or other can't remember the exact name. But I loved all of them. The XO is definitey similar to a lot of Davidoffs. I have a fiver of LE 08's coming... looking forward to those.

But try the 787 as well, I think you'll like them.

Interesting....I just tried an AVO Domaine 50 and absolutely loved it. A nice change in the rotation from the "thermonuclear" stuff I normally enjoy. Have to make room in the cabinet for a few of these, to be sure.

Really like the Avo signatures. I think the torps and the pc's are the best of the line. The domaine line is a nice change of pace. So many cigars, so little room in the humidor! :p

Before discovering Pepin's smokes, the Domaine was one of my favorites. Just plain tasty and complex as hell. Not to mention pretty dang consistent. I tried aging some once, probably was able to get 9 months on them ( yea, I mostly suck at aging patience) And did not enjoy them as much at that time. but really did not have enough to see if it was me or the cigar. I really need to get a full box some and try for at least a full year. Now you have me curious on the 80th.

Imho the Avo is one of the best tasting and consistent cigars. The intermezzo, signature and 767 are my favorites.

When I first started smoking cigars the plain old regular Avo line was my go to cigar. I kind of burnt myself out on them and quit smoking them. I tried the XO and liked it but didn't think it was substantially better than the regular line, a bit more body though. I also tried the Maduro and didn't care for it but I'm not really a big maduro smoker. Avo's are a great alternative to the higher priced Davidoffs.

The regular AVOs are a very good, fairly complex mild cigar. The signature is a very good, complex cigar with a fair amount of spiciness, while staying in the medium range. The XO (Notturno) is a delicious, extremely complex medium, bordering on mild, cigar, that I really adore. So, no, it doesn't sounds like you're the only one.

If you want to try a spendy cigar try the Winston Churchill Chequers.
I found the flavor profile similar to the Avo 80th.
80th is better value though.

I had one of these for lunch, started off slow and I was unimpressed, but after a third, it turned into a pretty good smoke. I prefer the 787 more than any of the others I have tried.

it was everything I'd hoped it would be!

All the similar flavors and whatnot, but just much heavier taste. I still prefer the XO's and domaines tho.

Been on a little AVO kick too. Blown away by the sig, disappointed by the Maduro and 787. 787 was too harsh and the maduro was a little lacking in flavor compared to a Padron classic for way more bank.
