AHH 16 hasnt been $50 in NJ for awhile now(unless you get REALLY lucky). I know a place that has it for $100 if you want me to grab one for you (as long as its still there). Just send me a PM. Preiss imports would release more and more each year and continually charge retailers more for it...
Hmm, if you like smoky bourbons like Elijah Craig the Islays may be your style like another poster mentioned before me. Lagavulin, etc. (although I dont personally prefer Islays)
I might also suggest Aberlour A'bunadh, the sweetness imparted by the 100% sherry aging might be a good segway to...
Thanks for the replies so far, they have been very helpful. To answer this question to narrow it down...
200 cigars and $300. This isnt etched in stone though. It will be displayed, but in my basement office.
As much as Pappy 20 is my fav bourbon there are tons of great ones out there
To name a few:
Wild Turkey Rare Breed
WTAS
Stagg and Weller. ER has its good years and average years.
WL Weller 12 year (great value and great bourbon $25ish)
Hirsch 16 used to be on the <$100 list as a great...
I want to buy one good humidor to store my cigars. I have one, but I suspect its a bit cheap.
What are some good brands or are there any tips to buying a good humidor. Someone told me to avoid glass top ones, not sure why.
It is very concentrated as its a cask strength SMSW and 100% sherry oak aged. I think its a love/hate type of whisky. I absolutely love it and prefer it neat with a cigar.....yummm
I am a big, BIG brandy fan. Two of my absolute favorite SPIRITS (not just brandy) of all time are the Delamain Family Reserve and Tesseron Lot 29. Of course, they are special occasion pours only. Camus and Hine make some good stuff as well as Maison Surrene. For a bigger brand name I do like...
I did a vokda article a year or so ago and tried a handful all chilled and neat. Jewel of Russia Ultra came out on top with close seconds of Jean Marc XO and Chopin. I do like chilled vodka with some nice caviar.

Whats the going rate on "regular" Mac 25 these days? I bought my first one years ago for $275 or so. I dont think ive seen it less than $350 anywhere since.
This really depends for me. I have had some really light, bland tasting chiantis in my experience. Now if you told me its from a reputable producer and its a Brunello di Montalcino (made from same grapes), thats a different story although not a chianti then.
Merlot gets a bad rap, but its the...
For $100 or under here is my list of currently available bourbons.
Pappy 20 (one of the top 5 spirits i have ever tasted. I have 13 bottles hoarded because there will be a day it is no longer SW whisky) $80-$100
William Larue Weller 06 - $60
Four Roses 40th or 120th anniv Single Barrel -...
Laubade makes good armagnac. I find the older aged armagnacs are far superior to the young ones. Not always the case with SMSW although it does seem true for cognac.
This rhum made from distilled sugar cane juice really could be a spirit of its own and greatly resembles a cognac rather than most rums distilled from molasses. Clement makes from great ones the VSOP and XO are superb.
I havent had it with a cigar yet, but I assume it would be a nice match.
I think its worth it. Check out this gin article I did. I ranked it #2 behind a $200 gin.
It's a great gin albeit pricey for gin! (I did the taste taste at room temperature and neat)

Vintage Ports (VPs) take 10-50 (more along the lines of 10-30 though) years to reach peak maturity. Not knowing much about that particular brande all I can suggest is a decanter and a filter and let it breath for a few hours and ENJOY and let us know how it is! I am curious.
FYI: For the...
To add my 2 cents. In the $20-$25 range you can get GREAT Late Bottled Vintage or Crusted ports. If you buy the LBV version that says traditional or bottle matured it'll benefit from decanting and require filtering (as will the crusted). There are FILTERED LBVs out there that are pop and...
