    La Gloria Cubana Wavell Maduro

I concur with a lot of what has been said here. Age does increadible things to LGCs. The maduros fresh from the store have always been harsh to me. Given a few years, they become one of the finest smokes out there.

    La Gloria Cubana Serie R

I am a mega fan of LGC in general, and the Werie R is the best thing Ernie has come up with since his orginal LGC blend way back when. My favorite is the no. 4 nattie, which when laid down with some age is one of the finest smokes I have ever enjoyed. LGC ages well in general. I am down to my...

Wanna bet a '64 on that? ;) Let me do some searching, I'm 99% on this, because I remember everybody being in denial about it when the information came out. Stores claim the '64 to be a puro, but I don't find anything by Padron claiming this. I'll post back with some references as I find them.

    Acid Cigars

Not knocking it, my wife actually likes to put a little coffee in her cream and sugar  My only point is that without trying one, I can't actually say that I don't like them or that they're bad. Lars and Acid get bashed a lot, but I don't know anybody whose actually smoked one, so we're...

    Acid Cigars

I've never smoked one just because I'm a bit of a purist. I like all the ways natural leaf can taste when blended differently. As I understand Acid/Lars, they add flavoring and perfumes and stuff to their cigars. I'm the same way with my coffee/tea, no cream, no sugar :whistling: I'm sure...

Since we're on the topic of SG, I'm surprised that so far nobody has brought up the Ashton Heritage (puro sol). This cigar is made with 100% SG tobacco, not just the wrapper, but also the binder and filler. Has a very unique taste, IMHO. I don't smoke a lot of these, but really enjoy them...

Actually (per my understanding) ... ALL Padron cigars are grown in the sun. For some reason they don't actively advertise this, but I've been told by a number of sources. Also, as I recall the wrapper on the 1964 is Mexican, something a lot of people like to ignore, since Mexican tobacco has...
