He was given the same advise on other boards, but didn't take it....that's why he was banned from them. Right GodofFire911 or PadronMan? What ever you want to go by....you can't hide your stripes. Although I don't know if you have stripes at your age, yet.

Throw an Oust fan in there for some air movement and you are good to go.

I think using 3/4" Spanish cedar to line it with is overkill. I lined mine with 3/8" and from everything I've read, even that is more then is required. I have plans to build another(maybe two) ice chest. This time I will build them from bigger and from scratch, not convert an antique. I'm sure...

Did you try putting both hygros in your humi(beside each other) for 24 hours and see how they compare to each other?

If he got them from LCDH I wouldn't worry, you can guarantee they will be good. The same for Ray & Kim's Super Convenience. Ray owns both, the store and LCDH.

If you can find out which shop he got them from, I could give you a good indication if they are good or not.

I keep my humi at 65%, but most of the Upmann's I've smoked were straight out of the LCDH humi, which is bit moist. I have had a few that I've rested in my humi for a few weeks and I still had issues with some.
