A side note on the Ligero. Not all cigars use Ligero in traditional formulas for the different vitolas. For example a Siglo VI calls for 1/2 leaf of Ligero, if you put that same 1/2 leaf in a Lancero it will just burn your throat. John
How do you describe the feel of the cigars when you think they are right to smoke? I ask this because cigars out of Cuba in the summer months they feel wet and heavy as the humidity is 85%+ and daily temps of 90F+. I feel those cigars take forever to come down to the right humidity. Then as...
You forgot that it was 8 miles each way. BTW, Bill followed through with the Zelle. So all is well. Welcome to the club Bill! Get to know some of the fellas. They might even be your neighbors. John
Zelle is no risk if they actually send the funds. I've seen too many cat and mouse games recently that leaves me to believe that these ghosts are after something. Tigerdood at OLH most recently had that modo de operandi. He tried to get me and didn't but he scammed quite a few. John
The problem with Zelle is that a slow play confidence game can be developed over time. They ask for your Zelle but never finish the transaction. A week later after you are calling them out, they say they are having trouble with Zelle and want to send a check. Now they have your name, addy, phone...
Thanks fellas. Just wanted to give him the benefit of the doubt in case someone knew him. There are quite a few BOTL's appearing on different forums after the shut down of Cigar Family. John
As the title says, this fella wants to purchase some cigars/ashtrays from me. Registered since 2008, zero posts. Seemed more anxious to get my Zelle info before he could tell me what he wanted. John
Some pricing in T2 this weekend:
MC No 1- 11.35 Euros
MC Edmundos-11.65 Euros
TTT Esmeralda- 16.35 Euros
TTT Coloniales-10.40 Euros
No Cohibas, mini's, Club were plenty though. Bottled water was very troublesome to find. John
Some of the cigar prices are still holding in Cuba. Last weekend I saw MC Doudle Edmundos and No 2's in the 12 Euro range. Dress boxes of 25 and 15 tube boxes. Also Partagas Serie P2, 10 Euros. No Siglos though. A lot of smaller Trinidads but the prices on those had doubled. John
There's plenty on Amazon, but I cant tell if its made in the USA. It alI looks Ali-Baba-ish. I honestly dont want to mess around with something not made in a US lab. John
Hello all. Stupid question, where are ya'll getting propylene glycol? I used to get it from Walgreens. It seems they doubled the price each time I went to get a new one. Then Holts, but they are out. Not looking for the 50/50 mix but pure PG. Any help? John
I guess my terminology was off. There are several beers from Belgium that are fermented twice, once at the brewery and again in the bottle. The double fermentation increases the alcohol level but not by much. John
I was thinking of a beer from Belgium that is brewed twice and three times, Grimbergen. They use the words double and tripple. Its pricey and hard to find in the US. I was in northern Spain a few years ago and found it in a gas station of all places at 1 Euro per bottle for the double. Brewing...
